They cut out my favorite part of this!! Monica and Chandler arguing in the hall, Joey comes out and says “what are you two woofin about?” Which I LOVE !! Then Monica says “Chandler stole a twenty from my purse!” And Joey says “NO”.. then “come to think of it, I am constantly without twenties and Chandler always has lots!”
Just love that “woofin” line!!! And the follow up. This episode is perfect, start to finish so funny. The Monica/ Chandler as a secret was an awesome story line and gave us such great episodes!
Chandler & Monica keeping their relationship secret for the first part of this season while the others slowly figured it out was, for me, some of the most clever and entertaining writing of the entire series.
I also find it humorous that Joey, who always the last to realize, figures it out by putting two and two together

The eyelash curler had a lot to do with it. Joey knew about the one missing from Chandler's room, and Monica lost hers. And it's not like Rachel, Phoebe, or Ross were privy to what Joey knew.
Actually, if it comes to women and sex, Joey is the smartest of them. About anything else, except acting and food, he's dumb but about this he's a genius.

if you rewatch season 1, Joey wasnt that dumb. Over time, they made him more and more dumber. They made Ross more sassy and Chandler a punching bag. He shoots blanks, everyone at work hates him, his friends all mock him and dont find his jokes funny etc.

Joey was actually smarter and more switched on than people give him credit for, not only did he find out about Monica & Chandler first, when Rachel was pregnant and living with him he was the only one who noticed Ross was feeling bad about missing out, and when Ross was about to give up his apartment when Emily was about to move to NYC from London ... he was the ONLY friend who spoke up about Ross' unhappiness. Joey was more than just a pretty face ... he was everything a friend should be ❤️

Bruh, it was about sex. Of course joey would be faster at anyone in this kind of topic. He caught on to mondler's relationship because he sometimes experience those too. And duhh, he has the clues. If anyone could be knowing those stuffs before, I think anyone would guess that the two are actually sleeping with one another. It is common sense, and joey, being an expert on that common sense, doesn't make him smart just because of this. Lol.
And when everyone thought phoebe was doing porn bussiness, joey called them sick bastards for watching the porn, he didnt because it was phoebe (although once they knew it's ursula, then joey watched it lol). He's the GOAT.

@@vardhman I figured it was referring to whatever other plots were going on in the episode. After a little Google searching, I found that the other plot involves Ross stepping away from the friend group because Emily didn't want him to see Rachel anymore. That somehow leads to Rachel and Phoebe deciding that if one of them is ever "phased out" of the group that they would both go and form their own group. But Phoebe only agrees if they take Joey with them. I guess her remark in this clip is Phoebe thinking that Monica and Chandler are aware of the plan and want to keep Joey in their group.
At least, I think that's the gist of it based on the episode summaries I could find. haha

I just noticed that for the first time just now (and I’ve watched this scene _a lot)_ and it’s so sweet. If you think about it this is the first time she’s heard him honestly admit it to anyone, and she can’t help but smile when he does. It’s lovely :)

I may recall when we learned that Ross was the father of Rachel's baby, and once again Joey's eyes bulged when he realized that. However, it took a while before it dawned on him, despite the fact they already established the person who owned the red sweater slept with Rachel and was, therefore, the father. Here, however, he actually had to piece information together, and he did that in mere seconds. This is definitely one of Joey's brightest moments.
@@Blunderman-rl1hc I think because there are two clues here (1.Trump 2.Eyelash curler), which the first one is kinda give away the secret already (if it wasn't Joey, for example, if it was Rachel, she would figure it out right away). When Joey gets the first clue, he absorbs it slowly and kinda reacts like what he does with the red sweater incident, and then he gets the second clue, and then he figures it out.
Yes, Joey had one clue, the eyelash curler, that it was left at the hotel, and Monica said she lost her's , he put it together and his reaction is priceless and the crowd went crazy.
Joey didn't immediately piece it together though. He had 3 clues, and didn't figure it out until the 3rd clue. Clue 1 was Chandler and Monica happened to return at the same time. Clue 2 was they both saw Donald Trump waiting for an elevator. Clue 3 was the eyelash curler.
Totally unlike Joey to be the first to figure it out. Reminds me of when Chandler had to tell him, “Get there faster!” 🤣🤣🤣

Why does everyone forget that he basically lived by Chandler's charity? Chandler is a great friend and no one would do that in real life. Taking care of an adult for years? Forget it.

Matt LeBlanc is an exceptional actor that was typecast early in his career - if you haven’t seen “Episodes” yet (which was co-created by David Crane, one of the creators of “Friends”) it’s worth every minute. Also, 1:15 is one of the best lines of the entire show.

His facial expression and body language fits both scenarios perfectly, so no wonder Chandler misunderstood his intentions.
