Once you pass 80% they don’t get much louder if that makes sense? So sort of, but they don’t distort and frankly 60% the bass is impressive so at 80% you really don’t need more 😂 so in answer, sort of, but not in any bad way, it’s simply because it’s so loud
Mine have never clipped. If your room is big enough you will hear a difference past 80% volume. I originally thought that they didn't get louder past 80% but what ends up happening is that they are generally too much for the room and the perceivable sound is already at max for the room. In a bigger room the bass does get more powerful past 80%.
@@kunchography3725 BS there is no limit to how much bass there can be in a room. And if there was one you certainly won't reach it with two 8" woofers lol. That thing simply has a built in limiter to keep it from overdriving. Ever been to a car audio SPL show? There is no limit, in a tiny van there are multiple 18" woofers, your whole body is vibrating, the womens' hair is being blown out of the window, and the windshield might need replacing afterwards. And the kids today think they're the king of the block with this overpriced Apple toy, LOL.
@@westelaudio943 There is something called Threshold. If you reach that in audio, a Normal room(With No Treatment) will definitely have cancelling effects. And give more narrow points of high and low(+db,-db). Thats why basically we "treat" rooms for acoustical peak performance. And the thing with Phantoms is, Its not the "Size" of the woofers that plays a "Giant" role. Its the pressure built " Inside" of the speaker that is way more dense than the "air pressure" outside. eg: A chopper is limited to a particular altitude. Since the air pressure at high altitudes is very low compared to on ground, the same propeller cant generate enough lift at high altitudes. Same does apply here.High pressure bursts will displace more air in a relatively lesser air pressure environment.Hence,Phantoms advertised as " Implosive Sound". Phantom Produces 60kgs of thrust. Normal air 1.2kgs of thrust @ sea level. Do the math at the altitude you reside.
Nice work
Very impressive!!
Im curious if the phantom subwoofers also clip at high volumes
