Remember you can recycle finished make up products with Rimmel. You can find the drop offs at various shops like Tesco, Superdrug and boots. Or can go onto the website and find somewhere near you ✌️
I really like the pan trend. It’s so important to actual *use* the products you buy! I’m glad there are youtubers actually focusing on not wasting their makeup and lowering their overall consumption

My mum has finished 3 of those backstage Dior foundations in 18 months, as she gets me to order the replacements. After this video I’m starting to think she may be either taking it far too literally and covering her entire face and body or she’s drinking it!!! 😳🙈😭😂😂

I don’t class skincare as beauty. It’s our biggest organ. It’s helping skin stay healthy etc. Skin needs looked after :)

I didn't do project ten pan but I did tell myself I would have to finish the majority of the same product before buying another in that category. For example I had four blushers and I wouldn't be able to buy another blush until I had finished those. I have managed to get through 1 and a half 😅

I have a really small makeup collection (1-2 of everything) so I feel like I’m constantly on a project 10 pan and my highlighter also does not want to go too! I definitely agree - it does show you which products are a good value 😉

Amazing!! I've been doing something similar to be honest. I don't have a huge collection but have multiples of some items so trying to make sure I actually use them and not forget about certain products cc
This isn’t a criticism but do you still get sent makeup products? If so how do you view that? Do you give them away or just keep them to use at a later date? Again, not a criticism in anyway, I just know there are influencers who have told brands to stop sending PR that they haven’t asked for, so was interested in your view on that
I had the same thought, it’s a fair question 😊 If I didn’t buy makeup for a year I’d have nothing left, my makeup life is project 10 pan out of necessity because it’s so bloody expensive 😂🙈
@@gemwhite710 Me too! 😂😂 I’ve got a fair bit (no where near as much as Emma though!) so I definitely have enough to keep me going for the next year. I just wondered how it works. Cos I know of some RUclipsrs who have actively asked brands to either stop sending stuff or ask first, which I think it’s a really good idea!
Meggan Walder from what i gather from her vlogs she does keep the products she gets sent, and i dont think she uses her project 10 pan makeup every single day but im not sure on that bit so dont quote me on it hahah!

Still my favorite videos! Im doing my project 10 pan because of you and I love it, however, since I have bought my makeup myself I have made it so that if I am completely empty of one category or right shade of a product I can buy a new one. So that I am not suddenly left without a foundation etc. It really helps me and have really helped my shopping habits.
This makes me want to a project 10 pan so badly!

I’m not sure if you’ve seen Hannah Louise Poston’s content but she did a “no buy year” in 2018 and you’ve basically done one in 2020, it would be interesting if you could do some contact around that like how much you’ve managed to save and how your perspective has changed x

You encouraged me to do a project pan Emma! I’m doing a Harry Potter one, 7 products based off the 7 books! I’m not doing a low buy (the AC colourpop collection is due but maybe after I will). But even 3 weeks in and I’m enjoying the ease of having 7 things I know I can go to everyday

This question arose whilst watching this video, but when you have a large collection- do you not that feel you're not neglecting your other products? I feel like if you have a very curated collection- even to the point where some people only open a new product when one finishes, then project pan is amazing!... I know some of my friends that may own 2 foundations and will open the 2nd one when the first finishes ( i guess how its really supposed to be!) But I have a large collection and I feel like I'd be happier rotating products and getting some use out of all it- and not worry that the rest of my makeup is getting mouldy! Especially when it take more that 1 year + to finish 10 products!! 😳 I even started a channel because I buy soo much makeup working in beauty! I'm just obsessed!!!🤣🤣
I personally think it’s only possible if you do have a large collection? For example if you only own one mascara for example and you finish it but you can’t buy another until you finish 9 other things? Unless I’m misunderstanding the challenge it doesn’t make sense to me unless you have a huge makeup collection
@@goaskellice yh I mean one of each product would mean you wouldn't need to do a project pan because you would just re-purchase when you've finished. I was saying if you had a curated collection then project panning would be great! Even like 5 bronzers takes years to finish...and so working on 1 of them for 1 year makes sense...but its when you have 20 bronzers and I'm working on one, I get anxious that I'm neglecting the rest! 🤣 just a thought! X

I did a similar project last year and managed to pan 22 products. I'm continuing this year, however my end goal is to pan or use up all products that have been tested on animals with the aim of my make up and skincare bag being completely cruelty free by the end of the year 🙂
I love seeing used up makeup from influencers. I find it so satisfying!

I think my life is a project 10 pan lol. I only own one or two of each type of product. Except eyeshadow palettes, I have 8, but now I know I should try to really use one well before I get another 😅 you're inspiring!!

in regards to seeing how much you'd save not buying make up, you could put the price of certain items you would usually buy if you werent doing 10 pan or things you really want to but havent finished anything to be able to buy it, write it in your notes and when it comes to reviewing the yearly 10 pan add it all up?

Been doing skincare project 10 pan since the summer. I always end up buying stuff and forgetting what I have, so sorted all the products out and I've got through so much. I bought some hyaluronic acid and a night cream before I started it and they're pretty much finished. I finished two SPF moisturisers, a tube of clay facemask and a face wash as well! I'm almost finished with an Avon face cream too. My mom bought me so much skincare for Xmas I don't need anymore products for years. 😂
I’m torn with this.. think it’s a good idea but does it really count as project 10 pan if you are sent PR gifts throughout the year that you use for videos etc. Surely you are then still getting the ‘joy’ of purchasing new makeup products, which would make it easier not to go out/online and buy.. You are still adding to your makeup collection, which is against the point.
Agreed...I know some other RUclipsrs asked brands to remove them from PR lists, which makes more sense if you want to be mindful of your collection...

I still have eyeshadow palettes that are 10 years old. I don't believe in throwing make up away past its sell by. Products are so expensive these days it's a crime to waste it!

Make your own 10 pan rules if you do it again. My personal rule is to use half of my 10 pan products every time I get ready. Then I still use them, but I can still play around.
