Love it. You could paint the dressing table to match the panelling or to the wall colour. It would either be a pop of colour or blend in more. I wouldn’t paint it white as it is too stark with the lovely soft colours you have chosen. 😚

You could try rubbing ice cubes on your rug that may make it lay flat,I know that’s how you get furniture dents in carpets ,worth a try
