What does Venus ACTUALLY look like?

In which I attempt to explain why images of Venus look so different from the real thing.
Correction:
- The image of Neptune I showed at 10:32 has higher contrast than the planet would have to the human eye due to a lack of gamma correction according to Irwin et al., 2023:

Other Addendum:
- Something I should've mentioned in the description of SAR at 1:15 is that the time to return is used to determine both the altitudes of points on the surface and to determine how far from the satellite's track the point seen is, which can have a foreshortening effect and create "shadows" behind tall structures where the radar couldn't reach. This doesn't contradict anything in the video but I think it would've been worth saying.
