Thanks a lot. Video was uploaded in year 2011 but people will keep using this tutorial till cheques require... may be 100 more years. I was always in trouble writing cheques now it's crystal clear. Last time, I asked bank lady as how to fill some of the fields specially

You have written your check incorrectly at the most important line.. After the numerical amount of $120.50 on the line below is where this number is written out in word form. This is the important reference that the bank uses to verify the numerical amount, and what is referred to if the numerical is not clear. You wrote one hundred and twenty------50/100. You should have written one hundred twenty and 50/100------- When we write a number in word form, the “and” replaces the decimal point.

so if I just write a check to someone or pay my credit card or pay to some other company than I don't need to sign my signature on the back of the check right Mrs Rebecca....Is it right??? I only sign the my name on the back of the check when I want to endorse it right???

If I had a $2,200 cheque would it be fine to word the amount out as “twenty two hundred” instead of “two thousand two hundred” for example?

I know this is a few years old, but it's wrong how you have it.
Should be 120.50 as ONE HUNDRED TWENTY and 50/100 then a line. Not ONE HUNDRED "and" TWENTY. That AND is going to cause issues at the bank when they process it. The "and" is for the decimal point.

do you put 50 over 100 no matter what on every check?
+Josh Jr only for 50 cents would be 50 of 100 cents... 100 cent =1 dollar. This is the fraction to equal "DOLLAR" which is written on the end of the line.............. So for 32 cents it would be 32/100 because you would be 32 cents out of a dollar or 32 cents out of 100 cents ALSO If 1 cent would be 01/100 put the "0" so someone can't change it to 91or it would change it to 91 cents. ..................... SIDE NOTE!!!! The "and" between the one hundred AND twenty should NOT be there this is wrong for $120.50 it should be written ONE HUNDRED TWENTY AND 50/100-------------------------------dollar
50/100 would be 50 cents out 100 cent or 1 dollar. If you were writing 32 cents it would be 32/100 if you were 1 cent it would be wrote 01/100 so no one can change it to 91/100 which would be 91 cents So the ??/100 would be the percent % of the dollar... Side note the "and" in the written is wrong it should be wrote one hundred twenty and 50/100-------------Dollars
If you're making a check for $15.50 or $20.50 and so on so forth then yes! Or $12.35 would be 35/100

You say "One Hundred Twenty Dollars and Fifty Cents." Not "One Hundred And Twenty Dollars and Fifty Cents." Therefore, you would write "One Hundred Twenty and 50 / 100 ----- "
