I knew the boot scraper would do well! Good one. Those carriage lights are beautiful. I think you are right to do a bit of research before rushing in to sell them.
Chris, I think you will find them called 'Pressure Lamps' and from memory there is a knowledgable Australian forum/group who could possibly assist you with a value and possibly a buyer...but as you are aware, condition is everything and the fact you have a matching pair in possibly working condition...also consider possibly early railway. Good luck p.s..I used to find with ebay offering 'free postage' extended the algorithm or something but attracted more buyers and got higher prices...sometimes
Thanks Chris, great to see those Furphy cast iron items sell so well, and interesting to hear your thought process on how best to sell the remaining items, buy-it-now does seem like a good option ! Those lamps are fantastic, I like the idea of them being on a tram, they're certainly substantial and quality items ! I was thinking back to your Trip to Tasmania and the Motor Museum, makes me wonder if it would be alerting a transport museum to them whilst listing them too ?
Don't worry about the postage your customers paying whatever it is, you only got three zones same City another major city or rural. What I do is box it up straight away and weigh it. Said postage is $25 and eBay fees are 15% I just make it $29 for shipping, cheers Graham
Electronics better as buy it now not auctions, people want to use it and want it asap not bargains. Antiques and collectables better for auctions, my opinion of course

I would Ebay the lamps. They look like they could go for around $1k to the right person
