if your garden_plus.dat file saved like garden_plus(1).dat, rename the file to remove the number and parenthesis, then it should work and you should still have your old file
@@gitamelissaI had the same issue, worked fine one time but all the others it would restart my game. I found that the problem was that the save file from the editor was adding numbers to the end of the garden file (2,3, etc as you made more copies) because I was scared to remove the copied back up file from my laptop. Sending the original file to my email to make sure I still had a hold of it and deleting the file off my laptop, then creating a save file on the save editor solved the problem as there was no more files with that name to duplicate. Hope this made sense!
if you guys had a problem like me where it worked the first time and reset your save file the next few times you tried, make sure every time that you delete the current garden file and add the new one in, you make sure to remove the duplicate number from the file name. for example, if the file you copied into the folder is called 'garden_plus(1).dat' make sure you delete the number so it's 'garden_plus.dat' instead. hope this helps!

@@jade5645 Umm, Well It came bundled in with custom firmware when I installed homebrew. If you have an sd card bigger than 2 gigabytes, you can just follow a recent tutorial to "How to Homebrew a 3ds" to get checkpoint and a lot of other useful things.
