What a great series of video. I enjoyed watching it. It's the best I found about the Overland Track. I did the walk in the 90th and your video revovered lot of my memories. Thanks.
Thanks Andre. As you would have seen it's a lot easier now compared to when you did it, it was much harder back then, but it's still a great adventure.
@@GreatWalksoftheWorld Big thanks for your kind reply. The Overland Track was my exercise for my Bushwalk at the South West NP. This was my real challenge. Have a good save time and enjoy lot of nice hike around the world. By the way Norway or Japan are great hiking spots as well.
I loved this so much. Thank you for such a wonderfully filmed series. So much great information about this track. Thank you also to Tyson for pointing out the range of emotions one has while doing longer hikes, I thought I was crazy feeling grumpy/shitty one minute, overly happy the next, hating it then loving it again but hearing someone else say it out loud lets me know that its normal and part of the experience. How beautiful to see strangers come together and feel like family in such a short time. Poor Caroline seemed to step in every muddy puddle along the way :)
Thank you, and glad you enjoyed it. That was our first adventure together. I think many hikers believe they're the only one's who go through the roller coaster of loving and hating the same journey, only to find out it's very common. It's always worth it in the end.
Really great vlog, watched from beginning till the end. Honestly puzzled at relatively low views, your vlogs are totally awesome! One thing I appreciate the most is that you shown every campsites in the vlogs, it really helps me to plan for my upcoming trip to OT. Before watching your vlogs, I was wondering where to pitch the tent (heard that all on platform with no possibility to guy out), do I really need to bring smaller freestanding tent vs more roomy tunnel tent. Now I have all the answers thanks to you. Be well Caroline and enjoy your hike!
Free-standing is best in our opinion for flexibility, but you should be able to get a platform at all campsites with the exception of pelion and narcississ due to non overland trekkers. Avoid those on weekends if possible.
That was awesome. Thanks so much to you and Steve for taking the time to make such good quality videos, they are such a pleasure to watch. I don’t understand how you guys don’t have more followers, you’re one of the best!
Thanks for the video and thanks for the series it has me frothing to do it again and do the few bits I missed. Been watching it with my wife and Daughter and the Daughter is even thinking of coming with us next time 😊
We're happy that so many people are keen for part seven and the rest of the Bib series. We've fallen behind our schedule to edit, but it is happening. We have rough cuts of 7, 8 and 9 and are working on the rest before releasing them week on week to avoid a second round of delays. The Overland was already done so that wasn't a distraction. A few personal roadblocks have been cleared so editing time is picking up again. :)
Watched them all, fabulous.
Wonderful series thankyou!

I know what you mean, halfway through I was never going to do the walk ever again, but once I got to the end, I wanted to redo it there and then.

Thank you! Completed the walk mid end of May. Freezing cold but totally worth it.
Watched every second. Loved every second. Well filmed Steve. Great insights from Caroline and Tyson. Thanks for sharing.
