What an amazing journey, and the photography was first rate. Many thanks. It was a hike I had longed to accomplish but living in England, you take pot luck with the weather during your visit, too risky. I've camped many times at Lee's Ferry, long before they started charging an entrance fee ! At eighty years young, my Southwest travels are done.... wish I was young again, still had so much more exploration to accomplish. Oldtimer Englishman relishing more of your travels.
Thank you so much for doing this video. My husband and a co-worker were going to do this trip but they couldn't coordinate their time off from work. Now they can just watch your video instead. The narrow slot canyons reminded me of Little White Horse Canyon near Goblin Valley, that is a 9 mile hike. I really liked the sand fall.
Very nice video. I did this hike solo about 11 years ago. I did not do any side hikes, just went straight through. Took 3 days and 2 hours. I went with a light weight setup. No tent, just a very light Bivy to shield me from bugs and the wind. My thinking was that if it rains, getting wet will be the least of my worries. What I remember the most is waking up in the middle of the night and looking at all of the stars.
spectacular video! too much in here to comment on all of it but the sand fall is amazing and got to love the tent blowing away hahah/ over an hour of AWESOME thanks for taking us with you!
Just watched the whole video. Great job!! I have to admit there is more involved with this hike than I thought. Well detailed. I wondered what model tent you have and which pillow? I have a Big Agnes sleeping bag which I love but my tent is too small and I need a better pillow. Again, thanks for sharing this hike. I was at Lees Ferry fishing three weeks ago. Love this entire area!!
Have done this nearly a dozen times...a little too much drama around the Rabbit hole...otherwise beautiful footage...also, I have never packed a tent...

That's too bad they couldn't get the time off work. These are opportunities that can't be missed!

Sounds like a great trip and way to see the canyon.

I used a Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL 2-person tent and a Backside LiteWave pillow.
Doing this in late March 2024 wish me luck
