Well it’s about the story (What Kevin mentioned in the full pitch but it’s kind of cut off here), they met in theatre (she did that acrobatics stuff) and they fell in love, he made the pancakes to impress her. and they both got laid off cuz of covid. David being in here is also random but he had no equity in the company but became good friends with the couple before they were laid off so David was being s good friend vouching for the brand. It seems so random though put out of context 😅
the only acrobatics going on to make that a good pitch are mental ones

Not just that but they are really hard to wash, and they are not a good idea because they will last making KUDOS unprofitable.

I don’t have anything against nepotism either but to pretend that you got there on your own and you were some hard worker always rubs me the wrong way. There are a lot to hard workers and some of them just don’t get good breaks.

It's a crazy world we live in where scammers that at least try to pretend to sell real products go to jail but Goop is allowed to continue operating.
Because scammers misrepresent what they sell, goop is up front that it sells you a "lifestyle". Weird for you to suck off scammers that trick you into something you don't want and shit on something that is at least honest with it's intention. You have a victim mentality and are weak.
Let's be real, she's not even the worst scammer in the shark lineup. I despise the lady, and I despise everything Goop stands for, but she's not exactly a rotten apple spoiling a fresh bunch - she's just another rotten apply in a lineup of rotten apples.
@@neruneri I don't really know what the others did to deserve that assessment but I wouldn't be surprised if they're not good people. I just meant Goop is such a blatant and obvious scam that it's shocking she's allowed on a show with people who appear to have legitimate businesses. With the others there is at least some question of if they intentionally scam large numbers of people.

I would be checked out like Mark as well if I had to be on set with their special guest. I have a feeling he was asked to try and get her on a deal as he really was pushing at the end (and didnt close 😂).
I think the deal just makes sense for mark, he wouldn’t miss the money and Gwennith would do all the heavy lifting getting the diapers in the hands of her cult members. He would have probably made money.
However what usually happens is the deal breaks down when the sharks get access to the companies financials. Most viewers would think these companies are just small businesses started in someones garage, but the reality is most of them already have a shitload of investors and are leveraged up to their eyeballs in debt.
Kevin is actually on point. Asking for a 25x multiple on their profits is insane. Most Tech and impressive software companies don’t even go for that much
10x is on the top end for tech companies, unless they're insanely fast growth silicon valley companies. But they knew that going in. They valued it that high because they knew they'd be talked down. Not a bad strategy.

Actually crazy to believe they put someone on the show as a shark who has a business model that is consistently called out during the show. Guess they were desperately trying to get someone well known on the show and that’s what ended up working out.
Solely for ratings. Now they have dumb dumbs watching who know nothing about business and others watching for the inevitable train wreck of words that come out of her mouth.
If Gwyneth was a normal shark she would have tried a deal with Jicawrap duo and suggested selling them with the cookbook.
