san yunho & seonghwa really amazed me. their live vocals were really none other, they didn't do anything crazy with their vocals but you can tell they're extremely comfortable and trained with their instruments

I'm not Atiny, but I'm definitely a fan and this Killing Voice made me appreciate them and their music so much more. Everyone knows, whether you're a fan or not, that Jongho is one of the best male vocalist in all of kpop so it was a given that he would sound great. The ones who blew my mind were Yunho and Seonghwa. I really love Yunho's Voice and that high note Seonghwa did was insane! Great reaction and a great Killing Voice!
I feel you, after becoming a kpop fan my taste and the way i consume music has changed a lot. This was an amazing killing voice: the energy, the vocals, teamwork...I'm happy they did this since a lot of people sleep on their vocals because of their performance demons reputation and due to jongho's insane pipes that kind of overshadow the rest, but they are all very solid vocalists with distinct tones; seonghwa, yunho and san being standouts. Their discography is 10/10 and would have hoped to have heard "light", "mist", "desire", "take me home", "if without you" among others but they still killed it im soooo proud.
I just had to say Light is that song where I saw everyone's vocal potential. This Killing Voice showcase is making me so proud. I need a part two with Dune and Be With You.
Your expression when listening to Jongho’s glorious voice ring out on ANSWER is exactly how my soul felt through this whole thing-ATEEZ’s voices are spectacular and I’m so glad we finally have this chance to zero in on their incredibly skilled and beautiful singing here rather than be bedazzled by their dancing and stage presence as usual. Because I suspect that’s why these songs you already knew sounded so different to you here-we normally are so impressed by their dancing and visuals that we miss the fact that their songs are REALLY FREAKING GOOD and their singing (especially Broadway-caliber Jongho, but really all of them in their own ways!) is absolutely virtuosic!
I absolutely feel the same way about it feeling like you are listening to the songs for the first time. I have developed an even deeper appreciation for them. Often they are better vocal the original because you can see how much they have improved.

ATEEZ are special. There's no other way to describe them in my opinion. They have a uniqueness that's rare to see. Moreover, they are strong vocally and all of them have different vocals sounds and styles that compliment each other perfectly and videos like this showcase that so well. Honestly your reaction was pretty spot on mind blown, stunned and Speechless ... I'm a casual Ateez listener and I was just blown away by all of them.... I know Jongho is a great singer but wow also Seonghwa , San and Yunho had my whole attention everytime they sang.
Ironic that both Mingi and San weren't in great form for this, and both were recovering from different things. You'll notice Mingi went through four (!) bottles of water, which I both appreciate and feel for him on. The huskier tone was actually better versus worse, honestly, but I felt bad for him in case he felt like he couldn't give everything to it, and same with San. But you know, every time I hear Seonghwa in Utopia and Yunho leading with his soft tones, I mean, hi, I stan the absolute right group as my ults. They're absolutely incredible. I'm flying a few hours away and staying to catch them in concert in late July, and I literally can't wait.
I love this Killing Voice. They’re just my ultimate performance group. Raw talent + damn hard work + skills = everything I want to see from a group that enjoys it. 🎉. We’re also flying in for the late July concert. I’ve been so excited since they came close enough i could go too. It’s going to be a great night!
Finally had a chance to watch ATEEZ killing voice and came to see if you reacted to it. 😂 RJ…the ATEEZ concert is going to be so much fun. They sound amazing live. Their energy is infectious and Atiny are so hyped. I love ATEEZ concerts. I saw them when they did their first US tour, had no idea who they were or any of their songs, and in that tiny theater I fell in love with them. Atiny screamed so loud. I couldn’t stay still. I don't know if someone else mentioned below but you can thank illness for Mingi's pronounced rasp. He covered it well filming but admitted later that he was quite sick this day.
It was nice to see how much you enjoyed it. When Atiny say ATEEZ are kings of performance, people tend to think dance and facial expressions, but their vocals and rap delivery are top tier too. Seeing them in concert is life changing. I know editing is a hassle, but if you decide to go back through, I'd love to see it, even if it's an hour long live with no editing. If you haven't seen their sound bomb 360 or Jongho and San's cover of IU's Dear Name, I highly recommend. We've actually gotten a fair number of solo covers too. If you want to prepare with some variety content, their recent Idol 1N2D and KStarNextdoor are hilarious.
I think they are who I would use as an example when trying to describe a singer versus an artist. Tons of people can sing, and sing well. Thats commendable in its own right, but to be an artist, to me anyway (just my opinion)- its the confidence and passion you bring into your art. There is a very obvious difference between going out and trying to be perfect and sound just like the record and that can set people up for criticism if its not exactly what they are expecting. Ateez truly have passion and are so connected with their art that it comes across so blatantly. They LOVE what they do. They ARE the songs/ performance. If they feel like throwing in a different adlib or harmony, they do- and they have the confidence to know it will sound good because they know and work off each other so well. Plus- i think everyone talks about them being performance masters, to the point that I think it gives the impression that it would be boring if they weren't doing all that 'crazy, extra' stuff- Ateez are PERFORMERS no matter the setting and they just keep proving it, time and time again. They all did amazing! I think my favorite parts (which is only if you make me choose because truly, you cannot go wrong with anything Ateez) would bo Senghwa, Yunho, and San's adlib during Mingi's part in Eternal Sunshine and then Utopia in general. And those arent even my favorite Ateez songs, that is just some of what stood out to me here. ❤
I always LOVE seeing people's reactions to hearing ATEEZ live vocals lol it's just another level and a whole new appreciation. The concert will give you goose bumps. I teared up too much because it's too good and things that have an euphonious sound just make me tear up easily. I'll be at the Atlanta concert! I'm so excited for you! Also, a total side note but it still cracks me up I took my mom with me to the concert a few years back (mind you I'm in my 30s and didn't want to go alone) and she fell for Mingi lol his stage presence is amazing. This video just reminded me how much I love Seonghwas voice and how underrated he is when it comes to conversations about vocals in the group (at least from what I've seen). He has such an amazing range and his voice is incredibly versatile like he's such a talented artist, and genuinely one of my favorite singers cause when it comes to getting new music you never know what you're gonna get when it comes to him and I love it
Mingi has own my soul since debut!!!!! But they have taken their turn wrecking my life! I’m also going to their concert, the one on Atl, I went when they came last tour and they wrecked me forever! They are my ULT group! They are uniquely talented, all of them can bring it! Wait until you see the captain perform, his facial expressions and his charisma are something else!!!!!
Happens that ATEEZ is by far the best band of their generation, objectively speaking (which is never 100%), because you may like their music more or less, but once you see them live, make you sweat, go to others concert, compare and ... Then u just can't compare. 1. Just to start with, their strongest virtue, no one can compete with them in PERFORMANCE, they are too cool and breathtaking live (I have been to 2 of their concerts). 2. They have Choi Jongho who I won't even tell you that he is the best in the kpop industry, but several singers and vocal coachs say that he can easily compete with the best in the music industry in the whole world. 3. As a group, you can see that their voices are magnificent, and they are known for having very upbeat songs in which they always sing with open microphones, unlike most of the other groups, which are 70% lipsync. They are so good that the criticisms they have are "for being too energetic" XD "Noise music" XD or even "they don't know how to sing, they only have Jongho" XDDDDDDDDD The envy speaks for itself. And I repeat, you can like their songs or albums more or less, but as for the other artistic aspects, as a group they are too superior to the rest of the groups, they are making history.
I dont know what to say. I just love them so much. It’s my 6 years being an Atiny but i still love them even i’m not so active n follow their tight schedule anymore but Ateez really is the first n only group that i love the longest time. ❤❤

This is why no one I know has one definitive bias in Ateez. I settled on two with a line of wreckers and dealt with it. I am a Matz girl but like have you seen Mingi lately and Yunho is just so sweet and Wooyoung is the cutest and San is a whole ass wall of a man and Jongho’s voice is magic and Yeosang is just so pretty… yeah. So you see in conclusion: Hongjoong and Seonghwa biased with a rotating six person wrecker line.
Matz gang! I started out as Hongjoong- biased, with Mingi as my wrecker; none of this would have happened without Hongjoong (I looove their origin story and that he and Mingi write so much of their songs), also he's a gorgeous, zesty Elf Prince! Mingi was my wrcker as soon as I found out about him, lol. Soo handsome, charismatic, sexy, and sweet. I added Seonghwa as my bias a few months ago in recognition of his being one of the sweetest, most adorable, hilarious and beautiful people to ever exist... I credit him with luring me into Kpop! He caught my eye being spectacularly adorable when I randomly watched Kingdom Legendary War a little over a year ago, it kept me watching the show even though I wasn't into Kpop at the time. Then Bouncy came out shortly afterward, and I really liked it (and helloo Mingi!) Streaming Bouncy changed my algorithm, and now I'm a whole Staytiny and Kpop stan! Also, obvs obsessed with Woosan; I relate to Wooyoung on a spiritual level, he's me at that age 😂 And San is literally the perfect man. So charming and sweet and gorgeous!!! I talk about Jongho all the time (voice of an angel!!!) And he's so bossy and cute. Yunho is so handsome and such a powerful, elegant dancer, and I love Yeosang's voice, and he is, so beautiful! They are all so talented and hardworking, so glad I stumbled onto them ❤❤❤
I have a huge crush for Answer. Totally remains no.1 spot in my heart cos that song was my first comeback with them after start knowing them through their perfomance in MAMA 2019 and Pirate King got me hooked up. Just how fast time flies but they really outdoing themseleves everytime. Ateez please stay the same. ❤

I love this killing voice so incredibly much. Ateez has been my favorite group for more than 4 years for a reason for sure!! What I appreciated the most from this was hearing mingis voice so raw finally without the autotune was incredible
i think their music has aged really well as well. It doesn't at all feel like theres any particular song that sticks out. they've stayed fairly consistent, and it honestly gives me a new appreciation for ateez even if i have other groups i like to listen to more

Hearing them live and really infusing their personality into it is an entirely different experience. Also, seeing them PERFORM live is an entirely different experience than seeing recorded live. Mingi wrecks SO HARD in person. I was absolutely astonished by how hard he hit in person v. on screen. ETA: I'm OT8 biased, so I really feel you on the not picking a bias
When you said Mingi is ready for an audience.. just wait! his stage presense live is incredible and I wasn't ready for that at all when i saw them live. Like I've seen livestages on YT but you gotta see him live to understand. Ofcourse they're all amazing live but Mingi just stood out to me litte bit extra.
I love how with this you can really see how much wooyoung and yeosang contribute majorly to background and supporting vocals but also how much more confident and involved they are in newer songs with more lines and their own flavor coming out. Love looove it. I mean overall it’s seriously cemented that it’s impossible for me to have a singular bias too lol. I just want more acoustic chill videos like this ughhh I die.

I always LOVE seeing people's reactions to hearing ATEEZ live vocals lol it's just another level and a whole new appreciation. The concert will give you goose bumps. I teared up too much because it's too good and things that have an euphonious sound just make me tear up easily. I'll be at the Atlanta concert! I'm so excited for you! Also, a total side note but it still cracks me up I took my mom with me to the concert a few years back (mind you I'm in my 30s and didn't want to go alone) and she fell for Mingi lol his stage presence is amazing.

This video just reminded me how much I love Seonghwas voice and how underrated he is when it comes to conversations about vocals in the group (at least from what I've seen). He has such an amazing range and his voice is incredibly versatile like he's such a talented artist, and genuinely one of my favorite singers cause when it comes to getting new music you never know what you're gonna get when it comes to him and I love it
Mingi has own my soul since debut!!!!! But they have taken their turn wrecking my life! I’m also going to their concert, the one on Atl, I went when they came last tour and they wrecked me forever! They are my ULT group! They are uniquely talented, all of them can bring it! Wait until you see the captain perform, his facial expressions and his charisma are something else!!!!!
Happens that ATEEZ is by far the best band of their generation, objectively speaking (which is never 100%), because you may like their music more or less, but once you see them live, make you sweat, go to others concert, compare and ... Then u just can't compare.
1. Just to start with, their strongest virtue, no one can compete with them in PERFORMANCE, they are too cool and breathtaking live (I have been to 2 of their concerts).
2. They have Choi Jongho who I won't even tell you that he is the best in the kpop industry, but several singers and vocal coachs say that he can easily compete with the best in the music industry in the whole world.
3. As a group, you can see that their voices are magnificent, and they are known for having very upbeat songs in which they always sing with open microphones, unlike most of the other groups, which are 70% lipsync.
They are so good that the criticisms they have are "for being too energetic" XD "Noise music" XD or even "they don't know how to sing, they only have Jongho" XDDDDDDDDD The envy speaks for itself. And I repeat, you can like their songs or albums more or less, but as for the other artistic aspects, as a group they are too superior to the rest of the groups, they are making history.
I dont know what to say. I just love them so much. It’s my 6 years being an Atiny but i still love them even i’m not so active n follow their tight schedule anymore but Ateez really is the first n only group that i love the longest time. ❤❤
I looooooove their energy, there is no way you listen to this, look at them and DON‘T start to dance! Their energy is contagious!
They all sound amazing as ALWAYS! But I have more appreciation for Seonghwa, and Wooyoung really makes the most of his parts. They really harmonize really well with each other. LOVE your reaction!!
This is why no one I know has one definitive bias in Ateez. I settled on two with a line of wreckers and dealt with it. I am a Matz girl but like have you seen Mingi lately and Yunho is just so sweet and Wooyoung is the cutest and San is a whole ass wall of a man and Jongho’s voice is magic and Yeosang is just so pretty… yeah. So you see in conclusion: Hongjoong and Seonghwa biased with a rotating six person wrecker line.

Matz gang! I started out as Hongjoong- biased, with Mingi as my wrecker; none of this would have happened without Hongjoong (I looove their origin story and that he and Mingi write so much of their songs), also he's a gorgeous, zesty Elf Prince! Mingi was my wrcker as soon as I found out about him, lol. Soo handsome, charismatic, sexy, and sweet. I added Seonghwa as my bias a few months ago in recognition of his being one of the sweetest, most adorable, hilarious and beautiful people to ever exist... I credit him with luring me into Kpop! He caught my eye being spectacularly adorable when I randomly watched Kingdom Legendary War a little over a year ago, it kept me watching the show even though I wasn't into Kpop at the time. Then Bouncy came out shortly afterward, and I really liked it (and helloo Mingi!) Streaming Bouncy changed my algorithm, and now I'm a whole Staytiny and Kpop stan! Also, obvs obsessed with Woosan; I relate to Wooyoung on a spiritual level, he's me at that age 😂 And San is literally the perfect man. So charming and sweet and gorgeous!!! I talk about Jongho all the time (voice of an angel!!!) And he's so bossy and cute. Yunho is so handsome and such a powerful, elegant dancer, and I love Yeosang's voice, and he is, so beautiful! They are all so talented and hardworking, so glad I stumbled onto them ❤❤❤

Totally remains no.1 spot in my heart cos that song was my first comeback with them after start knowing them through their perfomance in MAMA 2019 and Pirate King got me hooked up. I love this killing voice so incredibly much. Ateez has been my favorite group for more than 4 years for a reason for sure!! What I appreciated the most from this was hearing mingis voice so raw finally without the autotune was incredible
i think their music has aged really well as well. It doesn't at all feel like theres any particular song that sticks out. they've stayed fairly consistent, and it honestly gives me a new appreciation for ateez even if i have other groups i like to listen to more

Hearing them live and really infusing their personality into it is an entirely different experience. Also, seeing them PERFORM live is an entirely different experience than seeing recorded live. Mingi wrecks SO HARD in person. I was absolutely astonished by how hard he hit in person v. on screen. ETA: I'm OT8 biased, so I really feel you on the not picking a bias

I love how with this you can really see how much wooyoung and yeosang contribute majorly to background and supporting vocals but also how much more confident and involved they are in newer songs with more lines and their own flavor coming out. Love looove it. I mean overall it’s seriously cemented that it’s impossible for me to have a singular bias too lol. I just want more acoustic chill videos like this ughhh I die.

I really hate to tell this to someone so it wont be forgotten.... Jongho had to learn how to use his facial expressions during high notes cuz he normally had a straight face and you can see if in few of their debute MVs ( some of the hight notes were too easy for him so he had no expression)
