This really takes me back in time. I have no clue what the stand-up skis are like these days. But I was in an ijsba race at the Salton Sea in the 90s. It was an endurance type course and the race was open to all models of watercraft accept boats. There were guys out there with Honda prelude engines in these things the sit-downs I mean those are for girls. My jet ski broke down however and I was not able to finish the race. It was actually a rude awakening for me I was a poor man trying to get into a rich man's sport. I remember one of the other stand-up guys Clayton Jacobson. He had two brand new yamaha's and a pit crew. I was by myself. I wish I could have finished that race I believe I could have beat him. Look it up if you don't believe me my name's in the register for that race. I used to ride my custom 650 Kawasaki stand-up jetski backwards at the Colorado River 50 mph. Oh to be young again.
