Great slingshot! I've had that problem with the dust as well, and it's especially bad with aluminum. Just a tip: you should scale down the size of your slingshots a bit, they look big for your hand. I used to make mine very large, but discovered they are much more comfortable and accurate when small and pocketable. Anyway awesome video! I really enjoy how you take time to be thorough and clear. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! I actually thought it would be easier with aluminum. The size of my slingshots are fine. I usually scale them down a bit, and they are not too large. Most of the time they fit just perfect for my hand. This slingshot however was on the smaller side. I should never have downscaled it because it came out as too small for my hands. When making it I also removed more materials then I originally opted for, making it even smaller. Then again, I have never made a slingshot like this before, so there had to be at least one mistake.
great vid and very nice slingshot good job. im also wondring is all plywoods are the same? (able to use it on making slingshot) and sorry for bad english😅
Thanks and no, all plywoods are created equal. What you want to avoid is cheap plywood that has 5 or less plies (layers). I personally use "carpenter plywood" which is made of pine, and has a pretty high quality. You can use it for slingshots, but avoid making parts too thin. If you want the best of the best, Google "multiplex plywood" or "baltic birch plywood". That is more or less the best you can get, and it works very good for slingshots. I also think it looks great.
I noticed that you said at the beggining (0:45) that you were going to use paduk and then in the sanding process you said red sandalwood (14:09) I am planning on making this slingshot as it looks amazing, so can you clarify wether it's paduk or sandalwood? Love your channel :) keep up the amazing work!

Where did you get the rubber bands?
Let's Make I bought a 3 meter roll off eBay:
ebay.eu/2g5BCv5
Very cool! :)
Use rubbing alcohol instead of water to raise the wood grain during sanding as it raises grain and evaporates quickly
Looks like iceream with 3 flavors
Måste bara fråga , är du från sverige?
