Ah! I am teary at your tears!!!! First of all, you seem pretty damn connected in the emotions department to me, and it is honestly very beautiful to watch. Also first of all, there is no way on Earth you are almost 47 years old, what in the Benjamin button is going on here? Maybe Australia has anti gravity because it's upside down. Second of all, I so many have bunches upon bunches of love for you! (I am sending them to you right now.) It is a true honour to have you with me on this creative journey, and I am SO excited to be on yours too!! To answer your question about the process of writing this, I just think I got lucky! I wanted to write a reeallly vulnerable song about a reaallly vulnerable thing; my Dad leaving when I was 4. So, I closed my eyes, and sat inside the tiny noggin of 4 year old Lolli. I came up with a bunch of childlike metaphors all asking the same thing, "I don't want you to leave, so is there anything I can do to change it?". The words just seemed to cling to this melody and it all came together in half an hour, including a basic piano part. OH and third of all, I made an audible squeal when you used one of my favourite words ever, 'prosody'. SO COOL. YOU ARE BLOODY BRILLIANT, THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN. ALL CAPS SO YOU KNOW I MEAN IT. 💜
To quote a super special human "I m so proud of my speicies... ect". Magic is always a result when 2 of my favorite humans are around and interact. Much to you both !
Oh man! Knowing the true meaning of the song breaks my heart! It’s a beautiful piece of art Lolli. The best art comes from deep in the well of the soul, and that’s what this is.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Lolli is such a genuine human being, and quite special. Every time I listen to her music, I tear up, then want to give her a hug. Whether it be from sadness, or from joy, or melancholy, I am just drawn to share in it with her.
There is absolutely nothing that could be done to make this song better in any way. It hits right in the feels like a sniper head shot. Absolutely beautiful.
Lolli tells a story steeped in experience, So I feel the lyrics come from a deep place for her, And the way we experience the story is through her incredible emotional instincts and undeniable expression of her talent...❤❤
That ability to not only connect to the material emotionally but also to be capable of expressing that emotion through the material is a gift that very few artists have. That’s why I’m so interested in Lolli’s journey.
Could I make a request for a song? Have you heard of the Norwegian singer Sissel Kyrkjebø? She is the national treasure of Norway and has an amazing voice. She did the vocals in the Titanic movie and also contributed to the soundtrack of Lord of the Rings. Could you react to her performing "Slow Down"?
I have been stunned by how evolved her creations are. They're completely mesmerizing as videos and musical compositions. You're one of the best reactors because you connect to the authenticity of other good artists.
Thank you! I appreciate that so much. Yeah I think that’s what is most impressive about Lolli’s releases is that they’re so polished! That said we have no idea how long she has been grinding, recording and producing material that never saw the light of day. Most people who love song writing have catalogues of material that will never be released, because it’s “not good enough” or in various stages of in-completion. I have co-owned a recording studio and spent years working in musical instrument retail. I know HUNDREDS of musicians personally that have gone studios, and I know maybe three that have ever released anything. Lolli has found the confidence to take that gamble and put herself out there. And it is certainly paying off.
Thank you once again for checking out our work 💜Firstly, nothing wrong with being 46 and crying! We're so happy to hear this inspires you to outdo yourself and here's a fact for perspective: I re-did the production for Build A Sea 3 times (the final Pro Tools project actually was named "Rebuild a Sea") and Lolli re-sang and crafted it more than once too. There's no doubt there's talent involved, but what might be perceived as just raw talent is actually that plus work 10-fold. I encourage you to work on and share your music, because you're obviously very insightful so I have no doubt you'll succeed!
@@EduardoMoreiraMusic Thanks mate! Exceptional work again. You guys make a fantastic team. I definitely understand the concept of re-working a project… several times 😂😂 Glad you guys landed on this version. It’s perfect from beginning to end.
I’ve been following Lolli ever since TFVM channel was in its early days, I knew she was a great singer and tbh I was surprised she didn’t record an album sooner, I suppose it took some time to believe in herself. She’s a real sweetheart and an immensely talented artist who can melt the hearts of all of us who follow her. I have been very impressed by everything she has done so far, this one is really nice because we see how good she plays piano as well as her mesmerising voice. Yeah I get dewy eyed listening to her, it incites emotions in me!
I can’t speak for Lolli, but the fact is, putting together finished music, especially an albums worth just takes an enormous amount of time, resources and focus. It’s also really easy to commit just enough to put together loads of bog average material that that you are not confident in, so it never sees the light of day or never really gets finished. It also often requires collaboration with other people who may not present themselves or may be cost prohibitive. For solo artists who have to DIY their stuff it can also take years to acquire the gear, and the knowledge to even get started. Believe me when I say there are thousands of extremely talented artists out there who we may never get to know because they have been grinding in the shadows for so long that they miss their chance or the get burned out. It’s part of the reason I’m following Lolli’s journey so closely. She is one that made it out! We get to witness the butterfly emerging from the chrysalis.
"... Success isn't sounding like the people you aspire to be. Success is taking what you learned from them and letting us know who you are." OK, big The Warning fan here, but it seems to me those ladies have done exactly what you said, or at least making it all sound like them. I see Lolli is wearing her "Love You" earrings.
Stunning song, stunning arrangement, stunning performance, stunning artist 🥰 I too would love to know more about Lolli’s songwriting process! (So happy to see you back, Prymal! Funny how you did this and 1:5 back-to-back, you emotionally disconnected cisgendered male dude, you 😄)
It could be said that there are as many ways to compose as there are composers. I've heard a few times that the instrumentalists of Jinjer compose the music and then call in Tatiana to create the lyrics and melody. However, she also said that she puts together thoughts and lines in some form of notes and when she's asked to add lyrics to music, she uses her notes to find the theme of what she wants to apply to the music.
Yeah I think that approach is probably the best. I’m terrible. I always wait till we need lyrics and then I think “hmmm what could this be about?” Or I mumble a melody till a cool opening line pops into my head and then the song writes itself. 😂
Thanks for supporting Lolli! I'm new to your channel but really appreciate your willingness to put yourself out there emotionally. It's inspiring. Take all my subs and likes. :)
Thank you sooo much for your special effort in reviewing Lollis song, great job, She is an emotional power house...! Your instincts about the song are exactly right ❤
