I completely agree, I'm very much of the Indy Jones perspective that stuff like the door needs to be in a museum. It breaks my heart how many great pieces of history get thrown in storage by private collectors and never get a chance to be available to the public.
If i had that kind of money I'd buy it and hand it off to you, where it belongs, so i know I'd be respected and handled right, and maybe eventually get put on display one day.
Museums OFTEN laterr sell off what they acquire and put stuff in their basement.

I knew the 10050 Cielo Drive property very well until it was destroyed.

I had the privilege to meet Dorothy at the James Dean Museum. She absolutely is a gem for the Winslow family.
People jump off of Jaws bridge in July and August. Take the island queen over to Martha’s Vineyard and then hop a bus towards Edgartown and jaws bridge is on the way.
Hi Scott you where talking about closing your shop and it reminded me of why I closed my store it’s sad when it’s no longer fun but people don’t care if your making your self poorly about it and it was the best thing to do sad and missed but I would never go back to it …..and you Scott seem to be much happier since you closed it as am I……. I could tell you stories to make your hair curl and you have none ……….it’s good to see you on here ..and I like Tab and we in the Uk could not buy it after 1982…….LOL

Hi, was the staircase they were referring to the one on the outside of the garage. It leads to dormer windows over garage. The ladder inside the house leads up to the loft which also has dormer windows opposite it. (over lounge area)
Fun fact,my good friend after 50 years closed his video store so this last week I went down an started going through his dvds he had for sale and low and behold I found a video documentary on route 66 ,I haven't had time to sit down and watch it but I will, I would also like to have either rode my harley or drove my 70 firebird down the original route 66, thanks for your videos!

I'm with you, Scott. I love the ocean, but you couldn't pay me enough to go down to the ocean floor on a submersible. I love to watch shows like that on TV, but there is no way I would go down there myself.

@34:32 I used to volunteer at a charity shop and when I came across a John Lennon book and a copy of The Catcher in the Rye, I displayed them in the window together. I think my best effort was when I displayed a soft bunny toy and a copy of Fatal Attraction.
