Wow! Great images... especially like the last one . Excited to see your book. Please consider doing a video on the book making process. I'd contend that the sensor in the D700 and fewer megapixels is what gives photos the 3D look, not the size of the sensor.

Adrian, AOWS, did an awesome video on publishing his book which YT won't let me embed the link to for some reason... But check it out on his YT channel. "AOWS" Just search for "book."

Book is looking brilliant Ed! As the previous comments have said, not an easy task at all, it's a labour of love thats for sure.
Oddly I've just sold off all my Fuji kit after claiming I never would and gone back to Nikon (Yeah I know cropping et al!). However, I'm absolutely loving it! The thing about the smoothness, you may get that a little easier from your'e A7 IV, maybe? I often like the piccies better from my less loaded (Pixel wise) body, not saying thats the only reason for the phenomina, just seems more repeatable?

I don't know. It seems to be there in the A7RV shots too. It's kind of a 3D effect. Might have more to do with the lenses. I shot all those images in the video and printed a few of them and they are very satisfying. Reminds me a lot of the D700 stuff I've been looking at recently. I do also know that yesterday was the first time I have returned from a test photo outing and have been pleased with the results. And Nikon makes great stuff, I just wish they were holding on to their traditional values. Seems the guys from years back retired early or something. I would switch to Nikon tomorrow if they made a D700 mirrorless.

@EdwardMartinsPhotography I remember my D700 very fondly, just about my favourite camera, that and the Sony a900 and all the Pentaxes, of course! 👍

Is that an A7R5 you’re shooting with?

Yup. Interestingly, I also shot a fair bit with the A7IV, as it was out on the video tripod while I was walking around and most of these images were shot with that. Only the island photo was with the A7RV if I remember correctly. For this type of photography, the 22mp (after cropping 1:1) is more than enough. The reason to have the A7RV is after driving 2000 miles to the Bayou in Texas if the fall colors are popping I want as much camera as I can bring. :)
