Your channel is such a rewarding break from most everything else out there. This is just my third video of yours that I've watched (2nd as a subscriber) and I'm completely hooked. I love what you are doing and I love the fact that you take the time to inform us of settings and techniques so we can learn things. Even your music is superb. I could go on.
Cheers Alan, what I discovered was that you can create art anywhere. The red tree sits at the end of my street, although the result certainly doesn't look land locked. Hope you are having a great week 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Juanita, simple and quite effective dint you think. It can produce very pretty images from a series of boring snapshots. Have a lovely week 🙏🙏🙏
Now, that certainly was something a bit different and I really enjoyed watching the process all the way through the last image looked really really nice with the small posts creating a circle around the subject well done buddy
Cheers matey... you have to try something new every once in a while. Back to the coast for me I think though, I'm not one to be stuck in front of a computer. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
Hi Izzy, this one is so different! Just love the way that tree turned out. I discovered this technique a while ago but you have taken it to the next level. Mine are a pretty poor comparison so I will just keep trying! This time my morning was doubly good - first you then Ewan! Stay safe, see you next week
Thank you Helen, I found using the lighter layer blends (lighten, soft light and screen) work best, with a couple of darken and normal thrown in. And I so agree I had a lovely time watching Ewan's video... love his voice and process. Have a lovely week 🙏🙏🙏
I"m always surprised at what you come up with! You certainly keep us on our toes young Izzy! I have never got my head around PS however much I've tried! LrC I can just about work with!! Intriguing and beautiful art that can be adapted to most things. Really impressed. Thanks Izzy for taking me out of my comfort zone. Take care.
Thank you Jill, looks like you were quick off the mark and the fist to comment 🙏. I’ve not practiced ICM before as it really wasn’t for me. But I was intrigued by this approach and decided to give it a go. The level of expertise required to get good results out of Photoshop is remarkably low. Hope you are well and enjoying the weekend 🙏🙏🙏
Amazing indeed and certainly not commonplace. I have tried ICM several times but this would be a new approach which I will likely give a try. Thank you for presenting …
I’m happy to oblige 😊 ICM isn’t usually my thing but this looked like a bit of fun and I loved the textured, impressionist images that suddenly appear from a series of dull shots. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
I subscibed to your channel this evening and all i can say is what a marvellous video this was. Thank you and i am very much looking forward to the next.
Well that was certainly different and unexpected! I've never seen ICMs done like this, I definitely learned something from this video. Thanks for the behind the scenes look at how you did the editing as well, very interesting technique resulting in some beautiful, painterly-like images! ICMers around the world had better step up their game now! Great video mate, really enjoyed that! Hope you are well, have a great week down there!
Thank you for the kind words Paul, I hope you and Jo-Anne are in fine fettle. Its an easy technique to pick up and hopefully gives great results... this was the first time I ever tried it and I'm quite pleased at the results. Loving your woodland trips buddy, have a lovely week 🙏🙏🙏
This is a technique I have been meaning to try for a while and just haven't got around to. The final images were beautiful (and I think that's the first time I've seen you shoot hand held). Great work. Thanks for sharing and have a great week.
Cheers Ralph, and you know what, I think you are right that's the first time handheld (on video at least). Hope you are well and enjoying getting out and about, have a great week too 🙏🙏🙏
Unfortunately Izzy I'm not a big user of photoshop ( never learnt ) but was amazed at how you edited those images and created beautiful ICM so well done.
Thank you Ross, I've been meaning to do this for a little while... back to the great outdoors and less computer work for the next video I feel. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
That was very interesting Izzy! I’ve never seen that technique before and it’s extremely creative! Really does look beautiful works of art - I’ll need to watch it again before giving it ago one day!
Cheers Adrian, its very easy, the red bottle brush was taken just outside my house so you don't need to travel anywhere to make it happen. Hope you and the family are well... have a great week buddy 🙏🙏🙏
Back in the 80's & 90's I used to create similar looking images with Polaroid instant film by working on the prints with a piece of rounded metal to manipulate the emulsions and created similar effects. I was unaware of this technique and I'll be using it as soon as I get a camera (I'm without at present until (hopefully) my insurance claim is settled). Thanks for sharing and the results you achieved are superb.
Cheers Tony, I hope the claim is settle quickly and you can get your photography fix. if you give this a go i'd love to see your results. Have a good'un 🙏🙏🙏
I found this quite engrossing, Izzy. Thanks for introducing it and stepping-through the process. The results to me seem a combination of pointillism and impressionism in painting. And I have to admit, very attractive. I checked-out Ventosa's website and he also does "mosaics" that are at the very least, fascinating. (His ICM with the Mona Lisa was wonderful.) Watching your clip, I immediately thought of a couple of locations around Canberra where I could try this technique. One location will, I think, have to wait till next winter for a heavy fog, so I can hone my skills until then. There is nothing to stop me from trying it on a macro subject, either. "Traditional" ICM that features streaks of colour doesn't hold a lot of appeal, but this does. I'm not sure I'll leap right into a 500-shot experiment straight away though! All the best, Izzy.
Cheers M, I love the Mona Lisa shot too. I have a couple of other subjects lined up for later in the year... whether I make a video of it or not we will have to see. A macro subject would be a very interesting project and I'm really interested in seeing what you create. As for 500 images I'm not sure I'm up for that either 😂. Have a lovely week 🙏🙏🙏
@@IzzyAbuleelaPhotography please excuse the delay, but challenge accepted! 😄😉 I tried it on a camelia flower and the stigma. I basically got nowhere, I think because the elements were too simple: lovely yellow on the stigma with bright white, smooth petals. I suspect that the more simple the subject the greater the difficulty in applying the technique. I know I'm not particularly skilled at photography, but I'll try my best. It's blowing a gale up here today, so I can't go outside and try my hand again. I was going to try some of the lavender in the front yard, which is starting to flower. If/when I do get anything, I'll let you know.
Thank you and no you didn't miss anything (although I should have been a bit clearer in the final instructions). Carry on up the layers until you have adjusted each and every one of them. Then export the final image. 😊. Have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
Cheers buddy 🙏. I walked all the way round the tree in this video. You could just do an arc in front of the tree but try and keep the same distance between you and your subject (that way it’s pretty much the same size in every shot and that can help when it comes to blending). 🙏🙏🙏
I hope I don’t come over to pseudo but the technique leads to Monet painting effect..he of course had terrible eyesight so it could probably be achieved by putting some very thick spectacle lenses over the camera…no I know it can’t . Very interesting to have an insight into the benefits brought by photoshop and the techniques of editing Thanks Iz
Thank you as ever Thomas... very much appreciated, as is your in-depth knowledge of 19th-20th century impressionist painters. Glad you enjoyed this little episode... even if there was less wave action than normal. Hope you all have a great week 🙏🙏🙏
Spot on its not in camera, as in dragging or moving the camera, but the intentional camera movement is circling the subject, then combining them. Have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏
@ I am aware of the technique and use it myself. However in my opinion it cannot be referred to as ICM as the camera is not moving when the original image was made.
This is a wonderful image. Thank you for taking us through your process.
Thank you janine, glad you enjoyed the video... I may be doing a part two shortly too. Have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏
You created a very lovely result with this interesting technique. Thank you for sharing your process.
Thank you and you are more than welcome, glad you enjoyed it. Have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏
Incredibly beautiful! Monet of photography! Thank you for the tutorial! Very moving.
Thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏
Certainly an interesting technique Izzy, quite painter. 👏
Thanks Laurel, yes... almost as an impressionist painting. Have a lovely week 🙏🙏🙏
Very interesting way for ICM, Great images thank you.
Thank you Patrick, very much appreciated. have a lovely week 🙏🙏🙏

Very different from your usual long exposure techniques. Certainly interesting. Not sure I would want to try it but your images turned out very nice.
Thanks Keith... just shaking things up a bit. Back to my usual fair though from next week. Hope you are well and having a lovely week so far 🙏🙏🙏
