I can't put in words how much I love Slashs ability to write solos. They may not the hardest to play, or the fastest solos ever, but boy are they well written. Every note matters, every note has its moment to shine, simply beautifully crafted melodies. The amount of stunningly beautiful solos he gifted the world with over the years is unbelievable. If you wait for the solo in a song, the guitarist seems to have done something right :D Thanky for this beautiful cover reminding me of this Sped :)
Yeah this one is all about conveying the right emotion. He's a true melodic genius. So many people call him a hack and it does my head in. Yeah he doesn't play like Steve Vai or Nuno in terms of speed but he's never needed to, he's his own brand and one of the biggest and best for a reason. He can move an entire stadium with a few notes.

and the fact that so many people upload videos of them doing his solos means a LOT some artists think otherwise, but I like to think imitation is the highest form of flattery, especially with things like music and style

I don't know. I'm not a fan of his singing (or him as a person in general) but John Mayer is an undeniably excellent guitarist with a pretty reasonable level of popularity.
Running the solo and conveying the passion while doing it is hard enough in itself. But dang, I can not ever get my guitar or amps sounding right. And it's not just this song. Pretty much any songs I play won't have the correct tones. I turn, push, slide, and pull every thing I hot in these different amps and it dounds good, but not like should lol I have nice amps too. My amp i used the most is a "Line6 flex tone 111" Very nice amp with so many different combinations of sounds and has something like 30 different sounding amps duplicated into it. Awesome amp.and tgats why I got it. But i still can't get right mixing guitar sounds lol
You’re a phenomenal guitarist! You should teach more than Zepplin, although your Zepplin lessons are my all time favorite lessons, just because you have such good feel.
