why is it most of the people in your uk tv advert seem totally able bodied, like the person who rides up to the train station and then folds it up and walks with no problems into the station?
Actually the lady doing that suffers serious medical condition - she can in fact walk a short distance but is unable to walk far. She was one of our earliest customers and volunteered to be in the advert. Not all disabilities are obvious. A lot of the people in the adverts are in fact eFOLDi customers who volunteered to be filmed.
@@eFOLDi I am like that lady. I can walk, but not far before I can be in pain. Plus I have to carefully manage the limited energy I have most days. For me it is about retaining my independence.

These conditions almost never show anything visible. You don't need to be 94 years old and missing a limb to be mobility impaired - we have some very young users who suffer a range of conditions which severely limit their ability to get out and about.
Right? That guy almost tipped over on the uneven pavement. lol. All 3 wheel scooters are a bit risky but this one in particular is quite precarious looking
@@markkenter8123 The Lite is design for more even surfaces but can tackle extremely poor surfaces too when carefully handled. All mobility scooters can tip over as they are lightweight vehicles but we designed in for maximum stability.
It's as light as we can make it without compromising safety or durability. For people who are unable to manage lifting a scooter the best alternative is a car hoist or our lifting platform specifically designed for people whose mobility is more impaired.
i saw one chair design that allowed it to be put in the trunk using leverage. one could place one end against the car, lift the other end and it just slid into the trunk.

Have you made sure that the tyres are fully inflated. Flat tyres will make the scooter feel less stable. Scooter tips due to bad cambers are a common issue across all scooter types and users need to judge the surface and drive accordingly. Rather like riding a bike sometimes the user needs to lean a little on a scooter.
The scooter is poorly built, the catches that holds the scooter in a folded mode are small and weak, the scooter falls open when picked up as I unfortunately found out when used recently.
@@barbarablakely8923 sorry that's not sharable information. But the upshot of the issue is reimbursement by or from medicare and to that the answer is "NO". The reason is that although people with certain disabilities MAY use this and others similar to it, people without mobility diagnoses can also use for things like airports, malls, grocery, at home or, for some people due to obesity or a general lack of interest in walking around home, neighborhood,etc- because it's not a medical use only item, the government won't pay. Many private insurance companies build their guidelines on medicare/medicaid rules and that alone means they won't pay. Per guidelines, if government won't pay it's legal for private insurance to also deny. Some merchants online offer low interest financing but not all. The people who aren't at all needful of a device like this keeps those of us who DO NEED them stuck with few if any ways to pay except out of pocket. Good luck finding a scooter you can afford. @@eFOLDi Hello the limit can't be both speeds 4 and 8. By the way, your top speed of 6 km / hr is only 3.75 mp, as I said, way too slow and very dangerous moving across crosswalks!
