Can you do a video where you talk more about post-docs? I don’t really get it - it’s not really a continuation of your education but is it a continuation of just the research? What’s the difference between that and a job?
I did Honours after my Science degree but Honours was horrible! I finished with a First Class Honours but I hated every moment. Such a shame. It ended up being a waste of time. I was bullied as well in front of everyone else in the lab, so embarrassing, and my supervisor chose my project which was fully funded by the industry. I was doing aquaculture RNA, biotechnology. Also I was completely left alone and expected to know exactly what to do and pretty much everything in the lab went wrong day after day. People tried to help me and everything still went wrong. The only reason I got a First Class was because I did an excellent write up of my Honours thesis. Sadly, I wish I had never done it.
I really like your videos they are very helpful .. I am following you from Oman .. actually I am still undergraduate in SQU in Biotechnology major and I have a big dream and desire to become a University professor one day Insha'Allah.. hope to get some advices from you
I really want to do a phd in microbiology but after doing an intern at a research lab with a phd student the amount of complex math work has really put me off. I have never really understood math in biology 😣
For me I want to go into biochemistry what universities would you recommend from your experience. I was thinking of going to King’s College London but what other universities would you recommend
King's is very good for Biochem, that's where I went. I would also recommend Imperial as they have really good module options for the 2nd and 3rd year.

i'm starting graduate school in this upcoming fall.. i might go for PHD but idk cus too much yrs of school so i'll be tired after that
