It's so rare to hear a K-pop song express the feeling of triumph, let alone do it this well. Most K-pop title tracks tend to be about love or togetherness or confidence or hyping people up, but there's something so bittersweet yet euphoric about this one! Still my favorite Dreamcatcher title track, just for the emotional punch it delivers 😭
I went to their show in brazil, when this music was insane live, because when Sihyon sings "geuraesseo" the whole place exploded with the music, everyone shouting as loud as they could with the chorus, it was one of the greatest feelings i ever had in a live performance
For me, this song has always had an element of happy/sad, bittersweet love for LEEZ, who from the start, up until before this album was a huge part of the Dreamcatcher team and sound. Kevin noticed and explained it as a difference between earlier DC and and the "new" sound as OLLOUNDER takes over as the main producer. Can you tell me what happened, did LEEZ stop producing or left? I'm an 'OG' Insomnia (if one would say) as I've followed them since debut; but for the past few years I became more casual and only listened to the albums without knowing or following updates / lores etc anymore as I have less time to spend in Kpop in general (also to other groups I stan apart from Dreamcatcher too). When did LEEZ start to produce less for Dreamcatcher? Is everything okay with Ollounder as well? Thanks in advance!
@@lydiawulanastri6454 I don't think LEEZ ever produced less for DC, it just came time for him to move on to bigger and better things for him. No animosity or anything like that, it was just time. Everything is fine with Ollounder and now he gets to stretch out and see what he can do with some different players. It's kinda hard to keep track of these important people who are behind the scenes...

Their producers are geniuses, they make me impressed every comeback and with girls’ vocals? Perfection. Also this song actually is about a love letter to the Earth. It is just like they have to leave Earth so it can return to its natural state after the harms the people caused to it.
I will never get tired of watching people get blown away by Siyeon’s (really ALL of Dreamcatcher’s) vocals. And my Queen Sua getting her flowers for her vocals 🥺💜

Thanks for reacting to Dreamcatcher again!! Bonvoyage is a great track, and Apocalypse: From Us is probably my favourite album overall with Demian and Propose. I also agree that Dami's voice is super versatile, you can see this even more comparing her lines in "And there was no one left", her chorus part in "2 Rings", the "Love Me or Leave Me" cover, "Jazz Bar", the "Shadow OST - Slow Ver", and others. She's not the strongest vocalist but she has really impressive variety!
The climax of this song always gives me goosebumps and is so satisfying. Thank you for doing such a thorough and fantastic breakdown of all of the reasons why Dreamcatcher's Bon Voyage is SOOOO good!

Bon voyage is quite unique title track (tt) for DC, because all previous tt are dark/serious/sad and the other trilogy/era not ended with 'happy' ending. So I quite understand why Kevin said that this song is quite different with other dreamcatcher's title tracks, it is more 'pop' and bright Nightmare era (they become nightmare, yoohyeon trapped, in the end, they all still trapped) bad ending Deja vu (betrayal) Dystopia (cyber bullying, utopia never exist) Rose blue (jiu sacrifice herself) BEcause (obsessions) Villains/virtuous (although you can said that gahyun has succeeded to destroy the crown, but it never shows the end or maybe the happy ending for the duology, justice still a serious song, more like a journey to end the suffering/evil) Apocalypse (the end eventhough bitter sweet, it is still the only tt track that has happy ending) That's why this song is unique, not only in sound, but also concept wise This is just my opinion, no need to accept or argue, thanks for reading

"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell, representing nature. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable, right? My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity). SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace. There are still many things I don't know. For example, why are all three titles in French. 😉 (And why are there 3 Damis with 7 shadows...) The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal. Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job!

"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell, representing nature. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable, right?
My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity).
SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace.

The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal.
Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job!
