My engine bay already gets hot with my heavy foot and living in Texas, even though it looks good I'm gonna keep mine bare! Love the carbon fiber though definitely gonna copy that
My man Lowpes, love your channel, but I heard these things help keep the engine bay even hotter. That's the main reason I've stayed away from the Type R engine cover. Keep us updated! Great job on the channel.
I personally don't like the covers because it means more things to remove when working on the car hehe Carbon fiber looks good better than the boring plastic.. I do wanna see the valve cover removal and install for sure! Don't normally get Ads but this video gave me 4 non skip ads 😭 Also I see those T90's dang those are old and bring back memories of hitting those knuckle balls with them on hahah. I think Nike should bring back that t90 on target spot.
Looks alright my booooy lowpes! I'm trying to find the carbon "Fliber" ones with the red tint..looks sick! You gotta a link for that? Keep up the good work 👊
Chris Lowpes that’s why the holes do not line up. You just take the first and last pins out and leave the three smaller pins in. That’s why the covers have a such big space around around the three smaller pins. It will probably not seal now since the rubber is lifted off the bumper now.
I have these covers and I installed over the rubber on the headlights which I think is how it was done in the video. I noticed it causes my hood to stick up slightly in the corners. Did you have this issue? It's a cheap part so could be inconsistent manufacturing. I agree that installing it over the rubber seems like it would interfere with the seal.
Got my 10th gen si yesterday bro. Got a 2017 Aegean blue sedan with 12,000 miles on it. It's so clean and I love it!
Jer emy nice guy man!
Most definitely a must do, I’m going to work on mine now love it..
Enjoy!!

Austin another great cooling mod would be the vented grill which I’ll be installing soon!
@@ChrisLowpes I will definitely be getting one of those😂

SugarPimp904 I agree it can hold some heat but I’ll be getting the vented grill to compensate!
This engine bay cover won't cause your engine bay to increase heat. Unlike the Type R which have the fender vents which helps with heat extraction.
@@ChrisLowpes I'll be watching, and stealing ideas for my car...
SugarPimp904 thanks a lot!

Where’d you get all the carbon fliber on the dash?
I believe most of the parts are from eBay
hey man when youre shifting, does your even gears (2nd, 4th an 6th) feel crunchy or feels like there's no transmission fluid?
A lot of that crunchy feeling comes from the stock gear box. Try upgrading that with acuity products and change the tranny fluid
so these covers won't work for my 2018 civic hatch lx, oh yah Im in canada.
did the engine bay got hotter?
Where do you get that bumper lip. I can’t find it in the description.
The bumper lip is from a FK8 type r
Chris Lowpes Link please?
Rookie458 I got mine at garage16 it’s a local shop
Its standard on every civic, in europe it is
The covers go over the rubber not under
Brent Cairns I left it sitting the same way it would be without the covers. I maybe wrong but I believe it seals the hood water entering.
