Hey Cheyenne here are some of the darkest romances I've ever read 1. Untouchable by Sam Mariano 2. Truly by caramel Rhodes 3. Wrong by Adelaide Forest 4. Descent by Sam Mariano 5. Still beating by Jennifer Hartman😊
This was the video I needed from you! Please do an updated most emotional books next, I've read all the ones from your last recommendation video already haha
A DR Author that’s rather unknown, but I enjoy a lot is Charity B. She writes pretty dark stuff, but I like her heros, wich is rare for me. They’re more the understated and not overbearing type. But I would still count these as more extreme dark romances. I especially like the standalones R.I.P. ( Serial Killer Siblings), Skeleton King (Dark nightmare before Christmas retelling) and Annointed (Cult). The sweet treats trilogy is a bit more of a conventional dark romance, and Incubastard I wouldn’t actually count as dark. But she’s great.
On the Torment series there are actually 5 books. Torment books 1 and 2, Ashes is book 3, Mercy is book 4 and echoes is book 5. When reading the bonus epilogue in book 4 (Mercy) make sure you have plenty of tissues nearby.
The Emperor is SO good and my fave so far in that series!! You could probably read as a standalone but it is a part of the Dark Verse series and the Predator and the Reaper are the first two. 🖤🖤🖤
The Jewelry Box series by Pepper Winters…OMG phenomenal! But darker than dark! Trigger warnings galore!!! YOU will cry 😢when you read what these characters go through…
@@ThatTallBookGirl It’s a four book series that gets better and better with each installment, and all books are out now as of August. Intense and heartbreaking, but one series that you’ll want to know how it ends…
@@ThatTallBookGirl The first three books are cliffhangers and the last one is the ending that brings everything to a climax and I think there might be 3 epilogues with the three main characters getting one. Not everyone likes epilogues, but I thought each one was great!
A book I read that I really enjoyed was, Stolen by Jay Marie. Honestly was one of the best book I read that year. But it was really dark like the darkest I had read at that point but I still really enjoyed it and I highly recommend it to anyone who sees this lol
Well, the darkest romance books I've read are This love hurts by Nikita, like I couldn't put it down and I enjoy reading it despite what FMC gone through and have slow burn, also lauren biel books as well (hitchiker series and captured) Dark verse series by Runyx is dark mafia romance btw and has currently 5 books, the sixth book (the syndicater) will released next month, october 29 & gotta read in order for understand the story overall. Highly recommended
I absolutely adore Raze and the rest of the series though Raze is definitely my favorite ❤. It also has the mafia in it though it's more about the underground fighting. I really think you should check it out
Several amazing ones on here! I read Take Me With You earlier this year, and it is now my favorite stand-alone book of all time. I would recommend Captive by RJ Lewis. It's beyond amazing.
Hi thanks for sharing these recs! I think the darkest romance I've ever read is the Condemned series by Gemma James. Very dark and wild story, I couldn't put it down!!
I can’t think of a recommendation that you didn’t mention, but I did love Sea of Ruin! My husband drinks the Fairlife protein drinks and loves them. I’ve never even tried it. 🤦🏼♀️
Irreparable damage 👌🏼 so good!!!!!! I believe you said you loved love triangles... this is maybe not 100% one, but it has elements of it... if that makes sense 😂 Please read The Five... it's incredible and keeps you captivated and you have like no idea where it's going... so good!
@@ThatTallBookGirl unfortunately yes!!! It is dual POV though which I appreciated. I don't like 3rd person writing, but I didn't mind it here. I, personally, didn't find it difficult to read/connect with the characters. It is a duet though, just know that! Book 2 has the HEA
Thank You so much for These books 📚📚📖 reviews/recommend. I am currently in my dark romance area and Love it❤❤❤❤ I am currently reading "Toxic" 😊 by Nicole Blanchard 😊 Btw, Love your channel and so glad that RUclips recommended it - especially as a book 📚📖 lover 😊😊😊
I Hate that recent "dark romance" hype have portrayed DR as just equivalent to erotica. Yes sex is an important part in DR but that's not just it. It really annoys the shit outta me when authors put up spicy scene and make books revolve around SEX and glorify it as DR. I always suggest his dark vannesa(technically not a romance.) and lemonade as a perfect DR rec example.
I'm the kind of person who just skips right past the content and trigger warnings, not many dark romances feel truly unreadably dark to me. I liked Little Stranger, first dark romance to actually kinda shock me with one particular scene lol. and also, Even if it hurts by Sam Mariano and There are no saints by Sophie lark. It's not lost on me that each of these have a psychopath MMC, guess I have a type lmao I love these books because they stay true to the guys psychopath nature.
The Dark Verse by Runyx needs to be read in order. There are things that happen in sequence that you can't read out of order.

Little Stranger is super unhinged and hot.
The first 3 books of the Lords is sooo good! I’m currently trying to get through that entire series.
