    Say hello to my newest journal, MY SCRAP JOURNAL! I hope it inspires you to dedicate one entire journal to your scraps and pieces that would originally be thrown out. It's a fun project that doesn't take that much time and recycles what we have lying around! A new journaling process video will be shared in a couple days using this new notebook! I hope everyones week has started off wonderful!! -Nazy

I can't tell you how much your videos and journals and stories inspire me to create...and I thank you for that because i went through a periods where I have absolutely no ambition to do any projects at all but I always come to your channel and watch and rewatch my favorite videos and that's all I need to begin! I'm making a scrap journal as we speak....ive watched this video at least 10 times lol. 💙📃📔📁✏✉✒🖇✂️🗒📇🎼💙

    I love that you are just going with it. I believe that I can make a scrap journal whereas the idea of trying to do a more artist type journal is so daunting that I can't get over the fear to even start. I am going to try my first 'scrap' journal tomorrow. I can do this. Yay!!!

    Thank you so much for voicing you not liking the word "junk" journal...because I feel exactly the same way. When I use to tell people I create junk journals and saw from their expression on their face that word left that conotation of no value or junk on them. So I know tell people I create mixed-media journals...but like your word of scrap journal even better.
    Love this yes please...make an art journal !!!

      I couldn't agree more! A lot of people don't understand the idea of a "junk journal" and the word junk has a bad meaning associated with it unfortunately, but its just a name and it can always be changed :) Thank you for sharing Roksanna, your messages are always so lovely to read, I think I will be using it as an art journal! I will be sharing soon!

    Beautiful scrap journal Nazy. I really like the use of the word scrap. When I make my inserts I make them out of paper, pages from magazines, wrapping, scrapbook paper, etc. all that kind of stuff. And calling it junk really doesn't do it justice. Can't wait to see your process videos using this journal. Thanks for sharing.

  • @amomiu

    I like your reasoning of junk vs. scrap journal! Personally I call my journals junk journal as I create them - they are made of literal junk after all! I prefer to use as many free materials as I can. Tea bag wrappings, ruined drawings and paintings, items found on the street, images from junk mail and ads... But as I work on them, they turn into art journals! 🎨

    This is gorgeous! Great idea! And I agree, Once you alter a piece of paper it is now art and no longer junk! I think of the Japanese artists who take a cracked vase and mend them with silver or gold and now they are a completely new piece of art possibly more beautiful than the original pot.

    I've always struggled to know whether to call my videos junk or art journal videos. So I know what you mean about the materials not really being "junk". Just lovely to see your own personal journal. I just did a page turn of mine, writing and all😀. I love the combination of beautiful papers and fountain pen ink on a page. We're definitely addicted to paper, aren't we?. Take care, Joie ❣️ 🌿

    • @amitybloom159
      @amitybloom159  5 лет назад +1

      Oh yes sweetheart, we are definitely addicted haha! Our materials and papers should never be seen as junk because they are special to us, the minute something is tossed into the trash - the meaning is lost and therefore turns into junk. However all of our supplies bring us happiness and should be valued as treasures! Btw I ADORE the look of fountain pen on pages, just purchased one and I am obsessed with it!

    I too am not a fan of the junk journal term, however, I think it’s the JJ bit that’s catchy. I thought perhaps I would call mine ‘Joy Journals’ for that same JJ feel. But I also like ‘scrap journals’. Here, in Australia, at art school we always called our home made journals ‘visual diaries’. For that is what they were; a collection of thoughts and inspirations gathered together in a visual format. In the end, I guess we shall call them what we are happiest with. Peace and love to you 💕

    I love this! I think it sends a really awesome message to new journal makers that you don’t need all this crazy, expensive art stuff to make beautiful journals. When I first started I had that problem, I thought ‘oh it would be better if I had this or that, like so and so’ but you really don’t. Some of my absolute favorite junk journals are made from a cereal box cover, some tea dye paper and maybe a 5 dollar paper pad from Walmart/micheals. You don’t need to spend a lot to make beautiful journals!
    On a different note lol I love everything about this journal especially the size. When binding the pages how did you make them long enough to fold in half and still be a full size page?
