This video was so encouraging! I'm not a mum, nor am I married but I live with my disabled mother and I have a lot of chronic health issues so cleaning and keeping the house tidy is one of my biggest battles, but I like the way this method breaks it up into really small things, and for the overwhelming things you set a timer and don't feel pressured to have to get the whole job done. Thank you for sharing!
I really enjoyed you going through the app and how to customize it. Thank you for the printable pdf as well. I'm a paper person, but don't always know what to write down lol So, it's nice to have a game plan already typed out.
I tried fly lady many years ago but the mail and her blog overwhelmed me and I completely forgot it. You put it much more simple and doable 💞 , I'd really love to "see" in paper the routines, I still I see a random chores at random days in my brain🧠🥴
I use gloves for anything toilet related, and clean the toilet brush before putting it back (water and a drop of bleach over the bowl) or then I am just cleaning the toilet with a dirty brush just sayin'
I came over from Steph’s channel. I’ve been following the FlyLady routines, my own version, for years but have never tried the app. I also love using timers!
I'd enjoy seeing kids routines bc as a mama with many kids here as well I'm drowning in housework with having to do it all. While they're all destroying it behind me or they're on devices doing absolutely nothing for me. We are getting ready to move. So I am constantly decluttering, simplifying, organizing, packing things up and going through things to get rid of so that i don't have to pack a lot of things up we don't want/ or use with us. In the new house i am definitely implementing the fly lady system better to keep up on things.
I have multiple sclerosis, and a back injury and frequent migraines, I was having g a very hard time keeping up with everything and mommin and in alot of pain. I went to PT and bio feedback and they recommended the fly lady to me and gave me some print outs about it. I got on youtube and found her and everyone else and it changed my life. My PT said she recommendeds it to every mom who comes in. ❤🙌

I found Diane in Denmark invaluable to learn and start the Flylady system. She has been doing it for over 10 years! I wish I'd known about this when I had young kids, but even now it is like magic.

I suggest reading the books too if you want to get into the FlyLady system (Sink Reflections and The CHAOS Cure). It lays it all out. After reading them, I finally understood how to utilize her methods snd have been able to stick with it.

I used to get so frustrated because I couldn't fold a fitted sheet perfectly. Now I accept that just folding it the best I can is good enough. Like fly lady says about it not having to be perfect.
love the finger snap and the dishes were done. Oh, so wish could do that really. But it feels so good to have a clean sink. Also, sometimes doing dishes relaxes me, chill time.

Hello! New subscriber here. I’ve tried implementing Flylady in the past but it has never worked out. Now that we have finally moved into our new home and are out of our temporary home, I’m finally able to find homes for everything, and am looking forward to implementing systems for keeping up with it all as effortlessly as possible. I also have a large family….. I’m a mom to 6 sons ages 10 and under, and am also a homeschooler!
I’m pregnant with my 10th. I’m thinking if she can do it so pregnant, so can I! On top of it, you most have mostly littles, and I have older kids to help! You do it so joyfully too! I tried doing FlyLady again after your last video and got overwhelmed, but I did not know there was an app! I love it! I’m on the second day of completing my routines! Thank you! ❤️

Hi, great video! Found you through the secret slob video. I tried using flylady last year. I printed out the zone lists, but so many of the tasks did not apply to my house. I'd end up blacking them out, adding my own, switching around the zones to include different rooms. So long story short...I gave up. Currently I use the printable for a weekly cleaning schedule on Steph's channel. That's been working really well. I love the fact that you mentioned the flylady app and how it is customizable now. I downloaded it and changed it up completely for my house and zones. Looking forward to giving it a try. Thanks so much!
Started using the app today. It's fantastic now that I changed it to reflect my day and zones. Got so involved, I was checking boxes off like a crazy girl! Lol
Hello Tabitha! New to your channel and loving it so far. And what caught my eye and loved instantly was the cross over your bed. I have one over my bed and in each of my sons’ beds as well. I had one over my bed when i was a kid as well. There are times where i would like to redecorate my bedroom and thought about moving the cross to another wall in my room, but it feels weird to me. I feel that Jesus is there to protect us while we rest. :)
Looking from Sweden and smiling a little. An app called Fly lady would not work here, as people would question why it is made for only women. Most people share household chores with their husbands. It is interesting how different it is in different countries 🙂

Everything is sooo overwhelming with 7 kids. Especially, when my teenagers just throw trash on the floor and not clean up after themselves. Laundry is the largest task. Probably do 17 loads a week. My laundry room always reminds me of Mt. Everest.
Here's why I don't like Fly Lady. There's no closure on any of the tasks you're doing. I like to start a task and see it through to the end. That closure is a huge hit of endorphins. Which isn't to say I don't need a routine; trust me, I do. But I haven't seen one yet that works for me.
Give the kids their own bins 😁 - as they get old enough, they can put their work in their own bin, and it would be even faster for you to sort the littlest one's papers every day/week! Then your periodic declutter of kids' papers can be minimizing previous years' paper pile-ups for what you need/want to keep - ideally into a preplanned maximum allowed. Trust me, your future self will thank you on this one!
Years ago (15+) I tried reading about this method of house keeping and I was completely overwhelmed. I’m in a different season of life with my kids and homeschooling, running around 3/5 school days. One of those days we are gone from the house for 6 straight hours for group classes. How would I go about adapting the method when I’m gone an entire day? Also, totally relate to the perfectionist avoiding tasks because it can’t be done right.
Check out Secret Slob's video from a couple years ago where her sister works and is gone during the day. She used FlyLady principles and adapts it to her schedule.

I work full time and I do the weekly home blessing distributed over different days. My house is decluttered so I only focus on the tasks in the app and do it once I have time.
After watching your laundry routine I changed the entire way I do laundry. The kids don't hate doing their own laundry and I'm less overwhelmed with just mine, tha baby's, and the husband's vs everyone's being washed and dried and piled up on the laundry couch 😬
❤️👏🏻 I love doing laundry now because of 1 load a day! I also dedicate closet space to pre-sorting loads, including one called ''tumble and ignore'' because so many of my clothes hang dry, or need to be folded quickly!

Here's why I don't like Fly Lady. There's no closure on any of the tasks you're doing. I like to start a task and see it through to the end. That closure is a huge hit of endorphins. Which isn't to say I don't need a routine; trust me, I do. But I haven't seen one yet that works for me.

Give the kids their own bins 😁 - as they get old enough, they can put their work in their own bin, and it would be even faster for you to sort the littlest one's papers every day/week! Then your periodic declutter of kids' papers can be minimizing previous years' paper pile-ups for what you need/want to keep - ideally into a preplanned maximum allowed. Trust me, your future self will thank you on this one!
Not sure where I would stop 6 bins but that is a really good idea!

Years ago (15+) I tried reading about this method of house keeping and I was completely overwhelmed. I’m in a different season of life with my kids and homeschooling, running around 3/5 school days. One of those days we are gone from the house for 6 straight hours for group classes. How would I go about adapting the method when I’m gone an entire day?
Also, totally relate to the perfectionist avoiding tasks because it can’t be done right.
Check out Secret Slob's video from a couple years ago where her sister works and is gone during the day. She used FlyLady principles and adapts it to her schedule.
I work full time and I do the weekly home blessing distributed over different days. My house is decluttered so I only focus on the tasks in the app and do it once I have time.

After watching your laundry routine I changed the entire way I do laundry. The kids don't hate doing their own laundry and I'm less overwhelmed with just mine, tha baby's, and the husband's vs everyone's being washed and dried and piled up on the laundry couch 😬

❤️👏🏻 I love doing laundry now because of 1 load a day! I also dedicate closet space to pre-sorting loads, including one called ''tumble and ignore'' because so many of my clothes hang dry, or need to be folded quickly!

We have an almost 2 year old at the end of this month and we ALWAYS still call him "the baby" and I'm pregnant again with my 4th. 😅
