This is right up there with Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings as the most hauntingly beautiful piece of music ever. It's one of the few songs I can play on piano and I never get tired of playing and singing it.

Cardiacs se renovó muchísimo en los 90. Y tenían material para 3 álbumes más, pero el líder casi se muere y quedaron detenidos. Escucha el álbum Sing To God. Es evidente que ese album es superior al OK computer, que salió dos años después. Y eso que ahí sale Paranoid Android y todo. Para mí, la gracia de Radiohead está en haber logrado una cierta sonoridad o ambientación que además vendió mucho. Créeme que he escuchado mucho y recién vengo a entender mejor el sentido de Cardiacs.
Lo otro, son hijos de Cardiacs, y por ejemplo el álbum que Cardiacs sacó justo 2 años antes del OK Computer, se come a éste. Poco importa la popularidad que alcance un grupo, si no es tan influyente.
Mira, yo al menos no dije que una herramienta sea mejor que otra, y a mí me gusta el falsete, el yodelling y todo eso. Pero el falsetto (como el de Yorke) no requiere tanta habilidad como el trabajo de Fischer-Dieskau. Eso es todo lo que quería decir al principio, nada más. Es simple de entender. A mí me gusta Radiohead y los canto en el karaoke cada vez que puedo. El tema en mi opinión era otro y no tenía nada que ver con cosas como Cardiacs, ni el fanatismo ni el amor por la música.
