My favorite standard, thanks Jonny! Only wish you would have included the verse, everybody omits it but it's one of my favorite parts! Great job regardless. Nobody writes brilliant tunes like Gershwin did!
Good point. Yes the verse if lovely... so many standards have verses but they are left out of the lead sheets. I believe this was the last tune Gershwin wrote before he died so tragically young.
Jonny May yeah it was! I always try to imagine how many incredible musicals and songs he may have composed if he had lived any longer. He revolutionized jazz and music in general even with his limited body of work. Anyways, I love your style, so relaxed yet intense and always fun to watch, keep up the great work! 😊

just a quick question, what software do you use to get your record outta your keyboard? I tried scorecloud before but it seems more like a composing software, then I started using audacity, but the outcome quality is just bad, with all those electrical background noise and plus, when i make a misplay a note theres no way to arrange it.

I actually play the Chet Atkins ragtime style of guitar and whatever you're doing just fits in like a glove to my style....!! I will definately record and send of my tunes to you... can you answer a question please mr jonny :) from an ex studio engineer i see you have a sound card that you are plugged into my question is what benefit does having those beatiful studio monitors pointing towards the camera? do you mix in a little bit of the audio from the camera for the atmosphere? thanks for answering in advance ps i played my digital piano with you on omegle i will never forget it your my inspiration
interesting setup with the speakers angled as they are. I assume you used the camera mics to pick this up? Anyways, that's not what I wanted to say. I wanted to ask how you recommend getting the music you play down into notation. I just purchased your free falling notation from musicnotes.com and it made me wonder, what method do you recommend for transcription?

I go direct from my Yamaha CP4. My speakers are the Yamaha HS 50M speakers.
