So excited to see that color! Looking forward to your review! :) Also did you hear the news about the Leobog Hi8? Ah, man, I'm so excited to try that too.
@@thoccnology it's really nice in person and it's Christmas season so I think red and green keyboards are in demand right now :p Hi8? whoa! that's interesting! I will wait for your review with that keyboard :)
@@jtechmkb ah, you're right! getting a red keyboard is getting an even greater urge for me LOL (I want a red one so bad - but I have a bright red in my mind, like the Monsgeek M1 had before, it was so vibrant!)
Have you used the Juggle V2 and/or the Nimbus V3 switches on this keeb? I can’t make my mind up on which one to get. I’m wanting either Heart Throb or Magic Bear but I’m not sure which switch to get.
I just did a light typing and a sound test with my RT100 using Jade Blossom 43gf switches with Meow MOA keycaps, and it sounds really similar to your Leobog Hi75 ASMR video. I utilized a DJJ microphone to capture the sound. I learned that taking a regular cell phone video of the sound doesn't match reality enough, and captures a lot of the echo from my environment. Also, I noticed that the plastic board of the RT100 produces a deeper thocky sound compared to the aluminum CIDOO v65. I learned that I am not a big fan of the poppy sound signature from the CIDOO v65, which seems super similar to the LeoBog Hi75. Both the CIDOO V65 and LeoBog Hi75 are aluminum keyboards
Thanks for sharing with me the MOA keycaps. They tend to create a deeper sound in general with the plastic keyboards. I tried MOA with both the RK75 and RT100! Also, as a thoccologist, do you think the TH66 has a deeper sound compared to the RT100? I was watching one of techless’ reviews on Epomaker keyboards, and he said it has a deeper sound than the TH68 and TH80.
I am listening to your video again, and I can definitely hear the similarities between Leobog Hi75 and the CIDOO v65. It is easier to spot the similarities with headphones. I can actually hear the higher pitch pop sounds better now than my laptop speakers, which probably exaggerated the bass more!
@@jprofessor321 Nice to hear that you liked the MOA keycaps, I love them too! ^^ Regarding the TH66 I think the deeper sound might be the result of a more dense plastic used for the case (compared to the RT100). Also the smaller case size reduces the ability of sound waves splattering around the case for too long (although it's just a non-professional hunch of mine). The TH80 has similar materials, so I think in that case it's only the case size affecting this (and of course the foam materials they used for sound dampeners)
@@thoccnologyI look forward to testing it out when it comes in tomorrow! I appreciate your perspective about the importance of considering the board, keycaps and switches. That does make sense. The smaller form factor the board, and potentially the denser plastic of the TH66T/TH80 can add to that deeper sound. Both boards should be using the polycarbonate plate and similar foam potentially. If they are like the RT100, then maybe the foam density used is lower to create a deeper sound!
So satisfitying. deciding if I want to build something like this or Monsgeek M1HE or the Wooting 60HE, it's crazy that this sounds like some heavily modded $500 keebs
That's a tough question! Can I choose 2 of them? :-) Oh, maybe 3... Both HE boards sound interesting. But lately I feel that apart from the customizable actuation point of the magnetic switches, I'd simply choose a board with a really good latency over any of the magnetic versions (they are no better than a proper board with top latency - unless one's aiming for the rapid trigger function as well ^^ then the choice is obviously the HE boards)
@@thoccnology do you think it is important whether it is moa profile or the keys are thicker, i don't know if sa profil suits hi75 but thicker keys are said to sound better
@@ffkesti175 Thickness definitely affects the sound, but the profile and material affects it too. I found that uniform profiles usually make the sound thockier, on the other hand the height of the SA keycaps have a lot of inner space for echo(-y sounds). But take my opinion as, I've only tried one single SA keycap set.
I'd definitely choose the Vertex, that it is my absolute favorite with this board (the Vertex's stock lubed creaminess+thockiness perfectly suits the thock of the keyboard.
@@thoccnology Ohhh, have u tried the morandi? I had those as an upgrade but the wobble is too bad i sold them after testing. Is the vertex good on tolerance? I've watched ur review multiple times i just need a bit more nudge to pull the trigger on the v1 🥲
@@Typerist Haha, I can give you all the nudge you need :D The V1s are in my long-reigning TOP5 switches. Haven't tried the Morandis yet, mostly because I heard so many bad experiences about them :') (But I think I'll try some WS Jades once I found a proper seller who ships for a reasonable price)
@@Typerist Ah sorry, forgot to reply on the tolerance part. The horizontal wobble is almost non-existent, only a vertical one can be felt, but it's still way better than most of the expensive switches (the current best is probably the HMX Cloud in that regards, and V1 is almost there)
@@thoccnology Morandi are disappointing tbh, I expected way more since it is kinda hyped by top content creators. Its not bad but not that good. Also last question is the toleance of the v1 comparable to the cream yellows? Or better?

Now this, this is what I need in my life!!

I also have moa profile keycap with the same color like you.
