This looks almost EXACTLY like Vaughan Mills mall north of Toronto. Only a few differences but layout, many of the stores and themed areas are the same as what Vaughan Mills has.
Been there once since it was built, it's cited as 20 minutes from Calgary but it takes us almost 40 minutes to drive there. It's surrounded by prairie, the Calgary skyline a distant smudge on the horizon but when we went there, you could see the smokestacks of the Balzac coal plant which has since been shut down. I really don't see why anyone would drive this far unless they were driving to Edmonton. I suppose if Calgary grew a lot or if the prices were significantly lower but the days of factory over runs and factory outlets are gone as everyone uses computer programs to manage just in time production these days. Of course now they have that Horizons mall across the parking lot from Cross Irons, did someone buy up all the land and are hoping for housing developments once automated vehicles gives them easy commutes to the LRT? What gives, why build a mall on the prairies and nothing else?
Calgarians need to go check out the newest mall in the area.... New Horizon Mall right across the street From Crossiron Mills . it's the new hip happening mall with local vendors and servicers who know how to take care of you. Unlike the big box stores of malls like Crossiron Mills , New Horizon Mall has the unique items and services that you won't find at those same old big box places the other malls have. So the next time you visit Crossiron , drive across the street to The New Horizon Mall "eh" you will be glad and thrilled you did! COME ON BY NEW HORIZON MALL TODAY!
Thanks. Crossiron Mills is an amazing place to shop. Great collection of stores. And it is vast. When we produced this we walked the mall for a week and practically wore out our shoes.

I just went to Alberta for a trip there expecting the mall to still look relatively similar They have now stripped the character of the mall it’s actually depressing there’s nothing special anymore
I have been there in 2011 beautiful and I miss Alberta.
I'm from Calgary yet I do mostly shopping at Chinook center .

cross iron Mills is in Airdrie not Calgary.
It's actually in Balzac and the municipality of Rocky View, north of 144th Ave Calgary city limits and approximately 5km south of Airdrie.
