Love the review, I have the tribit blast 2, I run a custom EQ and it is far cleaner and the sound clarity is brilliant, it really doesn't do the speaker justice running it in a set EQ or XBass. Also, if you use XBass when running a custom EQ it removes the custom EQ to put the extra bass into it which I don't like, but with a good custom EQ setup you don't need the XBass. All in all in my opinion the sound on the tribit is awesome compared to the mid blasting x20. For the price difference I'd have it all day long over the others, including the jbl, and I'm a fan of jbl and harmon kardon, I just think the price of the tribit blast 2 is great for the sound you get. You said to me "AL" I said... "WOT" 👉🤜👉🤜👉🤜👉🤜👉🤜 Real ones know a massive drop was coming, strapping myself in for the full hour of piston action (that's what she said)
Sup alan, gotta update you with something. I got a pair of soundlink flex gen 2's (for 200 dollars) And unlike many unprofessional reviewers on youtube that popped up lately, i actually clearely hear an improvment. The eq does a world of difference here. I added a little bit highs and lot's of mids to the eq (bass stays on 0) And wow it became so much different sounding than the old flex. Vocals and mids are stronger. It's way less vshaped, the bass is less boomy and deeper it seems like, the highs are more detailed and crisp. It's great. One thing i'd do is turning off the position eq adapt feature, it gets too bright when laying it down if you have increased highs on eq. Would like your opinion about the 2nd gen. I think bose did it
If the Uboomx were worth comparing, you would include it in a video. However, out of consideration for Oluv and his sensitivities, you’ve chosen not to present facts that may not be in his favor, thus avoiding any further detailed commentary on that speaker. Fair and correct from you-those who understand will understand, and those who don’t, won’t. Great work!
Honestly i didnt use the uboom x because its not in this league of big bass speakers. I mean personally i prefer the blast over the uboom x but they are kinda same level. Boom 2 plus has more headroom than uboom x.
“…out of consideration for Oluv…” Dang dude! Have you just started watching Alan’s content? Also, instead of just asking why the UBoom X wasn’t included in the mix folks instead decide to take a giant leap into accusatory mode, and without receipts to back it up. Insufferable, much?
Let’s be clear, I wasn’t judging Alan. It’s obvious he likely didn’t include the Uboom X out of consideration for his friendship with Oluv. Knowing Alan, the Uboom X wouldn’t have done well in his review anyway. No need to misinterpret my words. @@waynedexter
@@Blckwrgrymn just to be clear. The uboom x is not a proper boombox, this was a proper test of boomboxes, not for one second did i think the uboom x might be one to consider. Hi Alan, please recommend a speaker similar to the size of the tribit xsound mega and similar bass extension. I like it but the mids are too muddy for me. Thanks!
Alan, i have the OG stormbox blast but i really find it lacking bass power outside with 70% volume, would you advise me to buy a 2nd one and play it in TWS? Or buy maybe a Wking x20 or Stormbox blast 2?
Well two is more about immersion in stereo, you will get a little bass bump in party mode but it wont play any deeper. The bass of blast 2 would be different level but possibly overwhelming
Nice video! I need a bigger speaker than my Soundcore 2 but these boombox seems too big and overkill for me. Can you recomend me a good speaker that can do well in small outdoors parties (15-20 people at much) to play mostly rock and metal music from spotify, that does not weigh a ton and don't cost too much? (2kg or less and around 100€ I guess)
Hi Alan. Do you think tribit blast 2 can go lower than or equal to BB3 Wifi if there is proper eq adjustment and with future firmware update? If no, i am planning to buy BB3 wifi as there is sale going on right now.
@@alanrossreviews I have OG blast, rave neo, and Encore. All based on your recommendation. And yesterday i had my hands on uncle's Boombox 3 wifi. BB3 goes deeper than Encore. So I want something that goes deeper than encore. I wish Blast 2 can.
Hi Alan, 2 years ago I was looking for a portable speaker and found your honest video on the Tribit Stormbox blast. And as a result I purchased one and have never looked back, so I thank you for that. I’m now in the market to upgrade my setup as I’ll be moving into a bigger house and would like some multi room sound as well as expanding the sound of the Blast when in a big room. I was wondering if you’d recommend getting another stormbox blast, get a couple of the smaller Tribit speakers? I was tempted by the Blast 2 as it’s “bigger and better” but after watching this video I’m not so sure now. Your advice would be very much appreciated.
The blast 2 can probably be eqd nice but i havent tried. For me thw go play 3 is spot on but small battery. If you already have one blast a 2nd makes more sense for immersive sound.
@ Thanks for your reply Alan. I think a second blast will be the route I go. It may not be until closer to Christmas so it’s possible more development on the EQ for a Blast 2 has happened and we can have a real comparison on how it performs compared to the Blast 1 £ for £ value. @@paulmurray6663, I have 2 of those OG BLAST and it was best purchase of my life!
Turning the appartment into a disco and pleasant to listen to.
Blast 2 sounds like annoying after 30 seconds.
Impressive first but once you get used to it, it's hard to really "enjoy" music.
Is the soundcore motion boom plus still a good budget speaker?
whats the magic word?
@alanrossreviews You are great 😂best reviews in my opinion...and uh..please 😅
@The_Memery i think for the weight/bass/party ratio its decent value but if you want a decent analytical listen this isnt it.
@alanrossreviews I'm not too fussed about audio quality, as long as it doesn't sound like shite I'm fine with it lol. I think I'm gonna get it anyways, thank you 😁
Love your Videos🤩
Alan you must definitely check out the new software update on Boom 2 Plus, because it's another sound optimization from Soundcore! Until I hear your feedback I'm afraid to update it because who knows if this time something will break in the sound quality😂
I don't think he'll be interested he don't like the boom 2 plus because of mid and upper bass boost sound muddy to him and its un eq able that what she said..
If only i had time for all these firmwares 😝 but i think im updated on the boom 2 plus? 🤔
That's what she said 🤣 🤣 🤣
What is the best custom EQ set?
You said to me "AL"
I said... "WOT"

Real ones know a massive drop was coming, strapping myself in for the full hour of piston action (that's what she said)
@@gnq_k 😜😜😜😜👌
Ah yes, truly The comparasion to watch On a charge 5👌
Lets see what this tribit stormblox xl is about😁
if you didnt know, its got a big bass 😝
Sup alan, gotta update you with something. I got a pair of soundlink flex gen 2's (for 200 dollars)
And unlike many unprofessional reviewers on youtube that popped up lately, i actually clearely hear an improvment.
The eq does a world of difference here. I added a little bit highs and lot's of mids to the eq (bass stays on 0)
And wow it became so much different sounding than the old flex.
“…out of consideration for Oluv…”
Dang dude!
The blast 1 was here because its the og blast and anyways i prefer the blast 1 to the uboom x. Not for one second would being a friend of someone effect my reviews. However i wouldnt say we had a friendship as such, just that we apparently have put differences to the side. im not naive enough to think the timing of the uboom x release had nothing to do with Oluv reaching out to me. I was happy to help when he asked.
Thanks for clarifying Alan. I really respect your reviews and your honesty. You're the only reviewer I see being this straightforward. Keep up the great work 💪🏽 @@alanrossreviews
Great review. A question Alan....would it be bad for the battery to leave it permanently plugged in to mains power?
Yup even though it will have some protection eventuality it will kill the battery.
@@alanrossreviews That's what I feared might be the case. Thank you. 👍
Still waiting on a review
On the Acoustic Solutions Mini Blast (Q08S) please review this bluetooth speaker.
I bet it's possible to make it sound way better with the eq.
I'd add more highs and upper mids, recuce or keep xbass off.
For sure, it would be hard to make it sound any less balanced but that seems to be what they were doing for. Bass, bass and then a bit more bass.
i would love to see a review on the skullcandy barrel
you must try jbl boombox 3 also ac plug sound test as did for tribix 2 because it has same issues for both
Hi Alan, please recommend a speaker similar to the size of the tribit xsound mega and similar bass extension. I like it but the mids are too muddy for me. Thanks!
Do you review Sony ULT Field 7 against the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2?
Curious about your esteemed opinion.
Thank you.
@@alanrossreviews if i lower the first 2 bands of the bass region to -5, will the bass still be overwhelming?
@@davegorthuis679 no if you reduce first 3 bands bass will start to vanish
@@alanrossreviews ok, so with a little adjustment it can be a nice ulgrade from the OG Blast i think.
Bb3 WiFi лучше
Its possible but till i have time to eq it i cant be sure. However bb3 wifi has that advantage, high bitrate hires tracks alongside atmos.
Thanks again and keep the honest and informative reviews coming 👍🏼
@@gregjukes68972X OG Blast is a HUGE difference compared to One OG Blast.
It's heaven and earth difference.
In fact: I even think 2 OG Blast would win over One Blast 2.
I saw in a teardown video on the Audio y Mas *🔊 RUclipsr channel that its power chips are two Texas Instruments TPA3116D2 chips, which look quite good.
@@大龍-y5w tribit already said it uses ti amps
How does this compare to the Tronsmart Bang Max?
Alan, good afternoon!please help me decide on the choice of speakers. A pair of Tribit stormbox blast or tribit stormbox blast xl(2)?
Does the Tribit speaker have problems with noise and sound distortion at the lowest volume levels like the Wking X20 speaker? Sound similar to a poorly adjusted noise gate. The Wking X20 speaker has good reviews, but no one mentions the product's defect. Can you listen to the speaker for example at night on a volume scale of for example, 1/15? The king X20 was unusable.
Para escutar musica classica qual autofalante tem melhor definição de médios ? Onde se ouve melhor os detalhes instrumentals? Tribit stormbox blast primeira geração ou bombox3?
ambos precisariam ser equalizados para conseguir isso no clássico.
