I think the old Rayven models will keep their value. If you really care about the original Light it Up and the old Elite Rayven, they will stay expensive and very rare.

In my opinion, the advantage of the bullpup design in a nerf blaster is the weight distribution. Especially in a battery-bowered blaster, most of the weight is were the batteries are, which means that the further the batteries are away from you, the heavier they feel. I liked the rayven because it solved this problem by putting the weight behind the grip instead of before it (like in a stryfe).

werewulf22 theres a aftermarket thing that is called an afterburner not sure if its out in stores but it would be cool if you could put two or more of them on accatchments then it could snipe 100m with not alot of barrels

riley dadswell Yeah but the Rayvenfire costs $70 and the original was probably $20/about the price of a Stryfe when it was released and not super rare. So basically it's fan service but only for fans who are willing to give them an unnecessarily high amount of money. That's basically my view on it.

One thing I think the Rayven has always lacked aesthetically however is a sling attachment point near the muzzle in the same pattern as the Demolisher. i dunno, it just seems like it needs *something* at the muzzle

I always add a barrel extension, which actually doesn't hurt the performance, and looks better. I also add an open scope and hand grip on the barrel, as well as a laser sight on the tac rail on the side, and it looks really good.

I've been told that the Kohl's Elite Alpha Trooper often comes with damaged magazines as well. It seems to be a Kohl's thing.

I just purchased this blaster today. My son and I battled for a bit and my only complaint about it is while one handing it right handed, the battery compartment tends to dig into my wrist. I was only doing this while wielding a hammershot with my off hand. I decided to try firing the Rayvenfire with my left hand and it was a lot more comfortable. Overall a great blaster though. The battery compartment was only an issue while one handing it while hip firing. Shouldering it was very comfortable.

The price is absurd but I'll definitely get one as I've always wanted a Rayven as bullpups are so cool. My favorite real steel gun is the P-90 and this is a s close as you'll get in Nerf.
I used this blaster and have it, this thing jams a lot. sometimes when i press the trigger the dart wouldn't fully go and it would stop, so I have to open the acsess door to remove the bullet. this happens to me a lot. The way I made it work was to actually put 6 out of 8 rounds in the mag, and aggresivly pull the trigger so it can go. Nontehless this is a fun blaster to use especially with the magazine, but its good when it works xD
If you pull your trigger half way and its unmodded it will only set the tip of the dart to the flywheels which causes a lot of jams. You need to get into the habit of pulling the trigger all the way

In Australia they are really cheap, if you look on Ebay you can find heaps of them and a lot of the times they are included in packs with more than one nerf gun. I haven't seen one over $100

The $70 price tag makes me recoil though. Plus the only place you can pick one up is at Kohl's. A Stryfe is more versatile.Edit: After checking the Wiki on this piece I found that damaged magazines are extremely commonplace with this unit.

Just a quick tip from a rayvenfire owner, if you for any reason get the N-Strike stormtrooper blaster, that things mag is too tall for the Rayvenfire, and will frequently jam it. I thought the gun was bad because of this, being I tried to use that 12rd a lot cause it fit aesthetically for the gun.
If only they still listened to people about not killing blasters... Except for a whole line of blasters this time.
Imagine getting two of these, modifying them to go full auto, giving them both 50 round mags, and bringing them to a nerf war

Guys, don't Flywheel Blaster never jam at all most of the time because the Rev Trigger Primes the blaster and makes the darts go full force on targets, unlike Spring or pump action blasters.
Only person in the world who doesn't have any jams or malfunctions - Coop.
When Nerf calls it a new blaster because they added "fire" to the name. I wish they would just resume production of the same Rayven and Stryfe. Instead of reintroducing it under the pretense of a "new version" (which is never more than a new paint scheme), they should just admit that they misread the market and start back up with the original blue ones again. Why fix what isn't broken?
When they take things away that we like, we complain that they shouldn't change anything. When little/no innovation takes place, we complain that they're lazy. When they innovate and release something cool like the Regulator, we complain that the product is too expensive. They could NEVER win if internet trolls were considered in their market research. lol
There's definitely merit to that, but the lazy argument is limited. For instance, how many times have you heard someone say they wish Nerf would change something with the Stryfe? I myself have never heard that. Nothing needs to be changed. When they took it away, people complained because they liked it. With this Modulus Stryfe, it looks like just a new paint scheme, and a package with a higher price because it includes a couple of attachments that we can already get elsewhere. It doesn't need that. Nobody complained about the original Stryfe except that it went away, so why change it? The consumer was happy before. As such, it could be argued that a lack of innovation reflects a lack of need, although that's unlikely ever to truly happen. My point is that if they're going to act like they're innovating, they should actually be innovating. They treat the Rayvenfire like a new blaster, when it's in no way new. I just wish that if they bill something as new, they would actually make it new.
i feel your pain, but i'm just glad that the stryfe and rayven are back. they'll end up going on sale anyways. i don't like that most of the time they're just making stryfe reskins, but it's marketing, and besides, you have to keep in mind, nerf's target audience is smaller children. yes, the modulus stryfe is coming with attachments that we can buy separate, but from a marketing point of view, they're doing a great job. they're reimbursing the rayven and stryfe back, when they were both great sellers and a big source of revenue for the company, they're just trying to gain more money, and yes, this does anger me that they are just trying to make money, but if i were the owner of a multi-million dollar brand, and i know that one of my best and most popular products has been discontinued, i would do everything that i can to bring that product back to make more money. i know i sound like a cheap business man here, but i'm just trying to show both sides of the argument.
Believe me, I hear you. My whole point of curiosity is if the owner of a multi-million dollar brand knows which of his products is the best and most popular, why would he stop production of it in the first place?
The original stryfe in 2013 was $20, the modulus stryfe is included with more attachments to bump up the price. That + some inflation might justify the $30 price.

Cheers Coop. Lnowing this is a semi Auto mechanical electric helped me decide. Gonna pass on this cos I have the Stryfe(orange).
My first blaster was the "Elite XD" Retaliator and my second was the "Elite XD" Strongarm so now my brain hates whenever a Nerf gun isn't the same colour, so I'm super glad this has this colour scheme (even if it is half-assed). Although I live in Australia so who knows if it'll even be released here.

Me, a person who knows guns very well: they have different reload systems. The P90 is loaded by the top, and the rayvenstrike is a bullpup style.
The p90 also has a small fore grip and no sling mount on top just a rail

I got the Nerf RayvenFire at TOYSRUS in Canada for $50. Can i tell u something stupid? It came with 25 darts and a 10 dart mag. Can i tell u something else stupid... I saw a Nerf Retaliator in the Box with the same mage but Barrel attachment, so someone returned it and put a Retaliator

I'm used to real bullpup rifles, as I'm in one of the ar,y cadet forces in Wales, and we use a variant of the SA-80 called the L98A2, which is only sei-automatic

The magazine that came with my rayvenfire works fine, but i did accidentally break one of my 18 round mags in the same way your rayvenfire magazine broke. I just used superglue on it, and it worked again
