This song is about as deep as songs get, it's about relationship power dynamics, emotional and physical domestic abuse, and being raped. An absolutely phenomenal song with extremely raw emotion and rage.
also babes in toyland - bruise violet is an iconic 90s song, some people think it's about coutney love but she said it's about an ex, although the mv kinda dives into the whole kat-courtney thing that was going on in the media
One of the best and most talented and influential bands of the 90s, completely shit on by sexist propaganda. I remember hearing that this was about her time as a stripper, and feeling used. "...they get what they want, but they never want it again". She's also being sarcastic "go on take everything, I want you to!".
@@KnightscastStudios thanks for having a sense of humor about it! Lol. Another great one is "Plump". Check out the lyrics. Hole's lyrics especially on Live Through This are amazing. Very poetic and make you think.
If you are into the angry screaming female voice, I would suggest The Distillers. I’ve many comparisons between Hole and The Distillers, but for me I find Brody Dalle’s voice over Courtney Love’s. Distillers: City of Angles, Seneca Falls, The Hunger, Dismantle Me, Drain the Blood….

This album was a total banger
This song makes men nervous, for various reasons. It's powerful and sensual and angry and apocalyptic.
If you associate the song with the video, then I really get it.
Every song on this album is top notch
The singer is Courtney Love. Kurt Cobains wife
Say what you want about Hole and Courtney, but many of their songs hit you in the gut. Her vocals convey pure emotion
