  • Raw footage. Sailing the 12ft Skiff in early April. Temps in the 40s (F) feels cold after it has been in the 70s for a week.

    I would love to see you try a sprit sail sometime. Maybe a leg o mutton made from an old jib. Both would suit that skiff well .

      That would be a fun experiment. It will probably happen sooner or later. I'm a fan of both.
      Lug sails are hard to beat for convenience and practicality. I was originally considering a leg o mutton for this build, but remembered that you end up with a much taller mast that doesn't stow as well in the boat.
