@@kimberleeturner8475 They need to close the school. Everyone in that administration needs to go to jail. The Dean of Student had the shooter´s backpack in his hands. ONE LOOK into it and it would not have happened. They encouraged the shooter stay at the school. You know what the prosecution did? They protect the school and give it immunity from prosecution in exchange to go after the parents. Is that pathetic or what?

In my district, we’ve had entire lockers, cars, backpacks, etc SEARCHED, and kids suspended for much less than what Ethan was displaying here. The school absolutely could have, and SHOULD have done more to protect the lives of the students they are legally responsible to protect.

And if they had looked in his over stuffed book bag for crying outloud! How is it not mandatory at every school in this Country to check every book bag and back pack that goes in to any school every single day? I don't understand that! That in itself is unacceptable! There is no way to know what goes on at ppl's homes or how unloving or ignorant ppl are of their children. Schools must be held to the standard that the building they teach our kids in daily is kept safe, and secure for every child within them every hour they are there. How is this standard being completely set aside and not spoken of at all?

No they do not deserve the blame- they did everything right- they went in and stoped the shooting within 5 mins

In this case the sheriffs department did pretty good. Those men and women actually put their lives on the line and knew there was a possibility they wouldn’t come home for dinner so they could protect our children. The school on the other hand is a huge problem, they knew the disturbing things; they just thought the parents would take care of it. That still doesn’t ignore the fact that they should have sent him home. When I was in HS this one kid who was very disturbed drew swastikas on a table for fun. He was sent home immediately and I think he was put in another class for mental health struggling kids. I know other schools don’t have classes like that, but mental health is important they support the kids that go unnoticed.

Then, also blaime the parents, as well, because no parent of the shooter checked the shooter's backpack that day when they had the chance to do so after the mother spoke with the guidance counselor. So, you could and should say that both the school AND at least one parent are at fault, too, not just about that the school is at fault.

Something that came to my subconscious as the questioning turned to ' what Do we do ' was that School Officials from those seeping floors to Principles need to be made aware of the legal steps they CAN take . The return of those firearms to those incompetent , immature individuals who are incapable of EVEN now accepting their part in this debacke has been Critused BUT maybe the Principle was concerned about the legal.issuesvinvolved in retaining another's property ? Yes , in many if our minds seem obvious but this HAD & WAS an ongoing situation that had been going on over months . Therefore they foolishly assumed that nothing untoward would occur . Foolish . Stupid but it becomes clear that FEDERAL , not local ,laws , requirements for obtaining , if necessary , forced ohyscholigy Al intervention AND definitely the removal
If ANY weapon be it fires , knife or poison along with SM bullying . This eruption of mentally disturbed children & incompetent parenting is far too wide spread & SM only adds to the damage & dangers

Tortured and killed baby birds, talked about enjoying seeing the terror in his classmates, wanting to teach others a lesson by killing as many ppl as possible, how much fun he’d have committing the crime, etc. These ppl pushing the Republican narrative. The ignorance of this mother/attorney on gun violence, effective gun policy, and mental health is what has led to this woman’s child being killed. Ppl act like u can cure ppl from mental health problems, u can’t, u can only try to manage it, which is why it’s not a solution to the gun violence in this country. This case does prove we need better gun laws, like making it illegal to buy or give a gun to someone who has not passed a background check and underage. This kid should have been kicked out of in-person school or be searched everyday before they can enter the school. The problem isn’t having ppl w/mental health issues in this country, the problem is putting guns in the hands of minors, ppl who haven’t passed background checks, and those w/mental health issues. We also need a law requiring schools/law enforcement to report ppl w/suicidal and homicidal ideation to the government to ensure, that at least for the time being, these ppl should be denied the right to buy and possess guns or any weapon.
