Corrin's fate... I see what you did there
That's what I like about smash, I feel there are so many characters that I feel a lowkey really strong, just nobody really good plays them yet.
Corrin is a character that has moves that kill you in the neutral. That right there should have been enough for people to pay attention to her.

It's frame 8, tied with Sheik for the fastest. GnW and Mii Gunner closely come in 2nd at frame 9.
Cmon, Xander is not mid, he’s pretty good in Conquest and Revelation

I think Xander is actually better than Ryoma. It's just Conquest is a much significantly harder game.
Something a lot of people don’t seem to realize or remember is how GARBAGE their recovery was before getting buffed. Corrin, Incin, and Diddy would have all remained bad if their recovery remained the same as they were on launch.
lol “so smash 4 bay- I mean corrin”. The game is only known for its top tier terror and a top player just saying that out of habit is confirmed ptsd of the game
I never stopped using this character because I have always enjoyed the character.
I don't think Corrin looks boring, their concept is pretty interesting and the chainsaw sword is cool af, I think that the problem is their voice lines, they are TOO generic.
As a Fire Emblem "nerd", I put Corrin as one of my Top 10 most hated, least likable, most bland protagonist in the entire series. It's an absolute disappointment that this character is even in Smash among a roster of icons, only there to sell people off of Fates. (Which was also a bottom tier game that need to be studied in a lesson on how not to localize a game...)
In other words Dabuz is spitting. Corrin/Fates should be considered a low/boring point in the Fire Emblem franchise.
As another Fire Emblem nerd, I actually like Corrin, but probably because I played him in Smash before Fire Emblem, and he quickly became my main

Even after playing nearly all the games he still talks pretty positively about Fates
As a fire Emblem fans I would put Fates in top 3 best FE game of all time. It's the only FE game I can consider replaying regularly. Most other FE have a problem of being extremely boring to play on replay for number of reasons. Boring map, unintuitive gameplay, RNG driven madness, terrible class balance. Fates having the best maps, The best class balance and the best game mechanic hand down. Honestly the game is perfect in almost every way. Even the music is probably the best the series ever have.
And also Corrin is a great character. Granted I also read Fates manga and explore the support Convo. I think Corrin is a really unique protagonist and they actually have a cool idea with Corrin. The only problem is they kinda fumbled in executing Fates story. Which is kinda sad Cause Corrin is kinda cool. I really like the Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty motif she has!!!!
@@timjim7163It makes sense. Fates is actually fun to play. I actually replaying the game like almost regularly. I can't say the same thing with 3H or Awakening. Monastery is fine in the first playthrough it's tedious on replay. I replay awakening half a month ago and I couldn't finish it. The game is just too boring. I'm just spamming the start button the whole game.
@@riqua27 If I were to play a Fire Emblem game, Fates would be one of if not my first, it looks very fun, and I love Corrin and the royals, Xander & Camilla being my favorite royals
I may have not played Fates, but I consider myself a Fates fan, and as a Fates fan, I was very happy to hear MKLeo (the best Smash player at the time) likes Fates and Corrin

It feels like many of the buffs and nerfs for this game were so arbitrary. Corrin Falcon Sheik Diddy megabuffed (those characters were ok mid tiers before, aka there were higher priorities for buffs… such as), Ganondorf and Isabelle left alone, Pikachu Sonic and Fox got minor buffs, Pichu Lucina nerfed. Comparatively, it was very rare to see genuinely oppressive characters nerfed (Palu, Wolf, Olimar, Min Min) and low tiers buffed (Rosa, Little Mac)
megaman also got nerfed every other update for no reason
The balance serves more than tournament play.
They used elite smash to determine balance changes so that would explain some of that for sure ( sheik fox buffs, palu wolf nerfs)

I actually don't understand why people think Corrin is boring aesthetically and even compare her to Lucina. She has dragon power and a flaming chainsaw sword. Not to mention barefoot.

At least those characters all have interesting mechanics tbf which can be nifty. Corrin is pretty basic in comparasion, especially since she used to be a DLC character. Pin is kinda interesting but orherwise she gives strong Lucina vibes
@@benross9174I don't know if you mean Lucina vibes as she is basic like Lucina or she plays like Lucina. Because the latter is obviously wrong. And the first I would agree if we're talking about mid to low level Corrin. But for me high level Corrin is really hype and fun to watch. If you watch the amount of Footsie this Corrin main doing is insane. If you watch Kola and Shadic set at LMMM. Shadic even Moonwalk on KOLA Roy using Corrin footsie.
Low level Corrins can’t play the character, I never see them win, but high level Corrins are fun to watch, I’m a Corrin main myself with Corrin at 14 million GSP, Corrin has some broken moves
@@riqua27I meant in the sense of being basic/not that exiting. Obviously the playstyles are differerent, Corrin has better punish game but less speed and so on. I meant no mechanic like Marth tippers, Limit, Monado arts and so on. Like maybe her dragon form could have been like an Arsene or something, that would be cool
