It would be great if you did a bench test demonstration Showing the flow rates of the various models. Also of Great interest, would be to demonstrate the current draw on the pumps at varying water flows, as in tap fully open to partly open. Also, do these pumps ‘fast cycle’ when the tap is partly open? Do they need accumulator tanks fitted to smooth out the pulsations?
Just install some connectors on the pressure switch cables and a switch in the van, so if the switch fails, which they do, you can bypass the pressure switch without soldering and messing around and hit the switch inside until you replace the pressure switch. Good failsafe.

Will the 17 lpm pump be suitable for the hot water system in the video and other similar generic units as in will the water still reach the advertised temperature for hot showers and washing up pots/pans etc ? and could it possibly be to much pressure ? as I have read hot water units such as these can use up to a 12 lpm pump.
It means the pump will shut off if the output is blocked, and the pressure at the output reaches 12/17 PSI. You'll probably need to look up what's the pressure and rate at which those filters let water through.

Hey Michael, the pressure produced by the pumps vary from 30 - 65 PSI depending on which pump you choose to go with. You also cannot add a filter to the mini pump. Hope this helps.
Why these type of pumps start vibrating the water gauge ,it's like struggling to push. The pressure rises on the gauge and than once arriving at 80 psi starts to flicker.

great video... I have a question. I would like to use a 12v pump to run 100m of 3/4 hard irrigarion tubing rolled in a spiral (3meters up on the roof) to heat my swimming pool. The difference in height will be compensated by gravity as is decends back into the pool. my intent is to run the system 15 minutes to a max of 30min then a pause for 30min to let the system to reheat. I don't need a very large flow rate... but 12v gives me the piece of mind safety wise for the people in the pool. Thanking you in advance John
Our pumps are only designed for smaller scale use (i.e. for camping showers etc) so we have no real experience or customer feedback regarding running the pumps for such a system.

What is water pressure shut off psi on the 12 and 17? I need something to go through 3 filters with out triggering the switch
It means the pump will shut off if the output is blocked, and the pressure at the output reaches 12/17 PSI.

I currently have a 12volt pump in my caravan but it is very noisy, are your pumps quite.?
Our water pumps have rubber mountable feet so that helps with noise and keeps them reasonably quiet.
