When you are in school you need a work permit under the age of 18 and when you get it you are only allowed to work a certain amount of hours due to schooling. I would know because I had one. She wanted to drop out in order to make more money by getting more hours. He was telling the truth In the fact that a father daughter relationship is very sensitive. He feels it’s disrespectful for her to be expressing her self the way she has as an artist. Therefore he doesnt really support her. (How she likely sees it) he probably sees it as steering clear of something him as a father/man. Not to mention as a parent no matter how good or bad any of our parents have been the likely did the best they knew as at the time. She is an artist he can’t control how she expresses herself. If he wanted more say he’d need to work on being able to accept certain things. Which in most parent child relationship is tough if not impossible. Kids/adults say these things all the time the only difference is she is an artists with a bit of celebrity. She never made it known he was her father til recently really. I had issues with my dad before whether it was him or me, i realized he and my mother did everything they could to give me the best life they THOUGHT they could. It aint no manual to being a parent.
I think it is a generational thing just like respecting elders and expectations of relationships. A lot of people now a days are out of touch with reality due to all the BS they heard on the internet.
Hes very smart & very well spoken actually. He knows what he’s talking about, and he’s really wise people just like to use his temper against him. I do think he has to do better when it comes to understanding and hearing people out but i think he’s so much more then the narrative people push out about him. Nobody likes to feel under appreciated and thats what he’s trying to express, hes done alot and sacrificed so much for him & his loved ones... imagine what its like to have it all and loose it all that’s embarrassing, thats a feeling of failure, thats depressing most people would fold but for him to still come out standing tall it shows a lot about his character and for your own child to say you let them down its gotta be hurtful.
