This is a monthly cash-prize tournament that is split into three different game modes: Standard RA2, Yuri's Revenge, and Blitz. For each mode, we separate players into divisions based on their skill level: Pro, Semi-Pro, D1, D2, D3, D4, and D5 (for the noobies!).

Hey everyone! My name's Iver. Welcome to my channel: RA2 World Series. I host and stream pro Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 (Yuri's Revenge) games... and give the winners cash :)
My channel features a variety of RA2 gameplay, including professional 1v1 matches, 2v2 games, show-matches, multi-player, free-for-all (FFA), tournaments, and cash prize events. We also feature helpful tutorials, strategies, and walk-throughs, with tips/tricks for new players. I focus mostly on PvP, but I also do PvE occasionally, like 1v7 Brutal AI Enemy challenges, Allied Campaign, and Soviet Campaign games.
"Red Alert 2 Remastered" has yet to officially release, but until it does, I've created a variety of custom maps, tiny maps, survival maps, and mod maps to keep us all entertained! We have a great community of players of all skill levels... download the game today, and come play with us! :)

This is a Red Alert 2 game mode of my own creation. Tiny-map, no ore, build oil for money (max 12 oils). All Allied get all Allied bonuses (minus France), all Soviet get all Soviet bonuses. There is a 10min game timer. No engineers allowed.

Holy crap, that was an amazing game by both Marko and Qien. The IC dance kept going for a really long time. Big brain move by Qien to transport his miners to the last gem island.
So clutch! Was crazy 💪
Not sure why that wasn’t done from ages ago, or even an mcv sent and built a refinery there.
Takes a lot of clicks and attention what Qien was doing, but none of them was really in the financial position to invest in a refinery as it would put them broke for a while, where their opponent would still be producing @@WorldWarSelection
It's very difficult to justify building another MCV at the top level because they build so slow it can put you behind on tanks. Moving the primary MCV of course has risks as well. But of course with most things that we watch that look very simple or just underestimating all of the different things the players are having to juggle.
One of the best RA2 I've seen for a long time.. back 'n forth nail biter, Great game fellas!

Grizzlies are $700. You need 3x that to go from normal to veteran or from vet to elite.
So you can't go from normal to Elite with taking down only a warfac ($2000).

Yes, if he first killed another unit, it would level up to Vet with a warfac. But not double from Normal to Elite.
I need to correct myself a little bit:
A unit needs to kill 3x its own value to level up + $1. Killed vets are worth double and Elites three times.
So one warfac can't make you level up twice, because 3x 700 = 2100 and a warfac is 2000.
Say he took a tank before (700) then he'd level up with a warfac (2000 + 700 = 2700; and he needs $2101). But it can't be a double level up because even if we were at 2000 (20 constripts) he'd be at 4000 after the warfac and level up to Vet. But he needs $4201 to get to the Elite level.
So again, a Grizzly can not level up twice (from Normal to Elite) by just killing a warfac.
Oh and no, industrial plants don't lower the requirements to level up.

3:55 as a chess nerd who follows the scene closely, the belief that there is no luck in chess is a misconception. Although there is no hidden information, you do get situations for which you could not have reasonably prepared. Top level chess is not particularly interesting anymore compared to the 'romantic' era, or even 10-20 years ago: it mostly consists of players feeding information into an A.I. and memorizing what it spits out in the hopes of being able to use it on the board. It is very common that a player plays an opening that runs right into an extensively prepared/studied set-up by the other player, and there is no way of knowing what the other player has studied (it is utterly impossible to study everything).
A similar argument could be made for fighting games: there is no hidden information either, but the real-time component could have two players making a move almost simultaneously without reasonably being able to react to it. If player 1's move X beats player 2's move Y, is that then not luck, assuming that the availability of moves are rock-paper-scissors?
Hmmmm yeah I mean in terms of traditional game mechanics there is no luck in chess, it is a turn based, deterministic, perfect information game.
I do see what your saying, like there are random things you can't control that can influence the game, example your opponent could get sick the night before the event and not sleep well. But that's not really what were talking about. The other player prepping a line that you don't know I wouldn't consider luck though, or atleast not in the traditional sense.
Fighting games that aren't turn based are quite different. Dexterity games like this, particualy in an electronic environment, could certainly employ RNG mechanics for certain outcomes which would indeed be luck based.

Why does all players in your channel (at least in about 8 videos I clicked) play only Soviets in Tournaments? Are Americans much weaker and Soviets too imbalanced? Whats the reason?
Of the top 10 players in the world like 7 or 8 are soviet mains. It's just the preferred faction at the top level.
