I don't fully understand the indenting, but the fact that you clearly show the indents is AMAZING! I as following along nicely until the automation. I didn't find the same notify that you did. I copied/pasted from the code from the Frigate link into the notify yaml but was getting an error. Fixed it. Where does the frigate notify go? Where will I see it? I copied your exact config but when I click on RECORDINGS in the Frigate web UI each camera says "No Recordings Found". No events either. Make sure you have enabled the record role in your configuration for the Backyard camera. I've been in forums asking to try to find answers, but there's too many jerks who'd rather, for some reason, chime in with attitude rather than offer constructive help. Guess they were bullied growing up, and this is how they get back at life? Sad for them! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
What if I already have a frigate instance running in an lxc? Is it possible to link homeassistant to that installation? The machine that has my frigate instance installed on is far more powerful and has a large disk to store my videos. I have home assistant installed on a separate raspberry pi

In this case, do I still need to set the "preset-rpi-64-h264" for Hardware Acceleration in the configuration? Also, would it be recommended to utilize the hardware detections provided by ONVIF cameras to configure it somehow? Thanks in advance!

I am a beginner, but managed to get both an internal extra SSD and an external USB disk mounted on Home Assistant (i'm on an Intel NUC running HAOS), and i haven't got the faintest idea how i would make Friagte save in the folders i have made. (tmp/data/supervisor/media/storagedisc/frigate) Once again thank you for an excellent video.
I'm sorry but if you are running HAOS there are some trade off, it's lot easier set up but you are not able to customize everything you want. Frigate will save snapshots and recordings in the media folder. I found this thread on the Home Assistant Comunity forum that explains how to mount the Media folder on an external drive. But is not quite easy to follow. community.home-assistant.io/t/solved-mount-usb-drive-in-hassio-to-be-used-on-the-media-folder-with-udev-customization/258406/68

You can download it directly from the Frigate interface
i am getting 502 bad gateway after starting frigate :(
Check the logs to see if you have any error. But probably you have to wait a minut for the addon to start
