How I play glad (rep21) is- I use the right stick to block and parry just like everyone else, but since it’s a reflex guard, I only block when the attack is about to connect so I never drop my guard and get hit. But your concern is for light chains I’m guessing so here’s what I do. I focus on a direction (8 times out of 10 you’re gonna get hit with a light if it’s fast enough, so don’t worry about the first light) with the right stick so if the lights coming from the same direction, I can instantly parry it. But if the light is coming from a different direction, it’s usually react-able for the parry (I play console btw, pc is easier 100%). If you still can’t parry I’d say use the right stick to block and the left stick to react or predict where an attack is gonna come and dodge into it it (which is easier than to parry in my opinion). It takes practice and time so be patient with it, you’re not gonna wake up and be king Misty one day. M last lil tip would be to play all the heros or learn their kit, it’ll help you a lot.

As I told you before the parry bash for glad is nuts right now its better than Jjs choke. For lower stamina heroes it takes 75% also for the OOS punish you’re doing, on throw or OOS parry do Light light toestab into heavy (great punish with haymaker feat) or - after you throw or parry OOS opponent -> side dodge attack (which will wiff) into delayed skewer (2ticks) throw forward light light toestab heavy
Gladiator definitely got better after the CCU update. His heavy finisher now does a nice 35 damage. His bleed is amazing and he is still one of the fastest in this game. His recoveries are also some of the best.
@KingMisty hey did you know that you can feint your parry on a heavy parry. I was playing shaolin and went to parry pressing b and just shows you doing the parry animation. I don't if anyone else is dealing with this but i figured I would tell you. Keep up the work also do more shaolin brawls or do some ranked

When I stopped playing for honor I could consistently win in a 2 on one now that I have gotten back into it I can’t even parry heavies so I can say for now I am jealous of the skill.
It's dodging into the direction of the attack at basically the same timing as a parry, you do still have to press another button aftrrwards which depends on the character.
Professional complainers lol. I played against someone like that in a RL tournament once. Every single time I scored he would complain that his controller was broken (a controller he personally brought with him) but whenever he scored he never said anything 🤷♂️
