Yeah Man! You nailed the solos! I play lead guitar in a CCR tribute band, and I've been kind of improvising through the first and third solos. (The middle one is more exact, repetitious, and easy to hear and play, so I play it right.) .... Now that I can see your tabs and hear the solo better (because your recording is clearer), I'll learn those other solos too! Also, for years, I've been playing the main riff up the neck, without open strings. I just realized recently that John Fogerty was/is a much more basic guitarist, more from the folk and folk-rock traditions, and NOT so inclined to play up the neck if he could get the notes by using open strings and low frets! It's easier to play and sing at the same time doing it his way! (I've been playing the main riff "Born On The Bayou" further up the neck too, using the C7 shape for the E7 chord, and also finally realized that I could just play that riff on the basic open E7 chord!)
