It doesn't work that way for everyone. My aunt and uncle had a house fire 40 years ago and they have never recovered from it. They are massive hoarders and mentally unwell. Even their children born after it, have not done well because the parent's didn't get help. Theirs was just one house and not entire neighborhoods like this. Look at the recovery in Lahaina. It isn't something that's fixed in a short few years.
Being a minimalist is not always easy. I will have to leave and find somewhere else to live if I want a small house with just the very basics. The problem is everyone is SO GREEDY. In my state, a 750 sq ft house that is 40 years old and has no garage costs an obscene $250-300K. Want a ONE car garage? The price jumps to $400K! I give up. Yes I thought the same you would of thought some type of Syphon from the ocean for emergencies I know salt water is not the best but better than nothing
Salt water cant be used in firefighters equipments because it will ruin them. Saltwater would also contaminate the soil so nothing would be able to grow there. But i understand what you mean. It is quite ironic.
@@MrStrange1984 I listened to a 25 year firefighter talk about this today. If saltwater contaminates the soil, why are the Canadian water bombers scooping up and pouring seawater onto the fires? @mohamedhasan318 People can value both material and non-material things at the same time. Sentimental items, like keepsakes from loved ones or childhood treasures, often carry deep emotional meaning and can feel heartbreaking to lose-just as losing a home is profoundly tragic. If a fireproof safe can help preserve those irreplaceable memories, it’s a small but meaningful way to protect what matters most. Why not take that step if it offers even a bit of comfort in difficult times?

My house and properties got burnt drastically in this Fire incident, im really pained right now. But I'm glad i was able to acquire a new house in Atlanta Georgia yesterday. I'm happy I took a bold step few months ago that is now favouring me can't be more proud that I'm right
Congratulation, you are really doing my finance are in rally in mess right now as I lost alot too any great tip will really go along way in shaping my life im open for idea
I work at a restaurant here in Texas. Things have been really difficult as our restaurant is been affected too. I'm a single mom and trying my best to pay bills and take care of my daughters
I started pretty low investing in forex/Stocks though with $3000 with the help of an investment enthusiasts Alvarez Harry Flectcher, thereabouts the returns came massively. My son Joe happy now telling me of new friends he's meeting in the Area.
Wow🙄I know this man just mentioned here . he's really good with and on his job. He has helped a couple of families and individuals' finances too
Talking of been success, I think I am blessed, if not I wouldn't have met someone who is as spectacular as Alvarez Fletcher. He has saved me a lot and is a blessing to my family.
For everyone, it's the memories, that they want, like the photos , videos, the young man looking for his teddy bear 😔.
Life is the most precious thing there is. My condolences to all those who have lost loved ones.
My house burned down in 2006 you get over it ..its just material things ..made me a minimalist. As long as the people and animal survived its o.k those that lost life thats the saddest 😢
agreed 100%
It doesn't work that way for everyone. My aunt and uncle had a house fire 40 years ago and they have never recovered from it. They are massive hoarders and mentally unwell. Even their children born after it, have not done well because the parent's didn't get help. Theirs was just one house and not entire neighborhoods like this. Look at the recovery in Lahaina. It isn't something that's fixed in a short few years.
Houses are cheap. It’s the land that’s expensive. If they own the land, they can easily rebuild a house
I give up. I truly fear that being homeless with a job will be my future because it's sooo goddamn hard to find a house.
HEARTBREAKING!! 💔 prayers from Arizona!
Got bless those incredible, strong, caring firefighters praying for their safety 👨🚒👩🏿🚒🧑🏼🚒 until all fires r out!! ❤❤
The area above this beach in Malibu is Big Rock Canyon, old neighborhood. Both the upper mesa and the lower mesa completely burned down but was NOT covered in the news. These are my neighbors and they lost everything. This canyon was inhabited by working class folks and retired families who at one time worked at Hughes Laboratories near Pepperdine and have lived there for decades. They are NOT celebrities.
Nobody cares.
So
I hear you. I’m saddened by these losses. Californian here too who calls this beautiful state home.
Loss is loss! Having your family unharmed is paramount. Still, the loss of your home, your refuge to go when you need to recharge, rest, gather with family and friends is reduced to ashes. The home is where the heart is. My heartfelt prayers to everyone wandering, trying to make sense of this devastating disaster. I see the disbelief in their eyes. I see you! I hear you! I'm prayiig for you all!
Hey haters, not all these people came from wealthy families and were born with a silver spoon in their mouth. Lot of these people came from very little and worked their butts off to have a nice home and raise a family. If y'all would actually achieve something in your lives, then you would understand.
Supporters zionist genocide too..do you mention about that idiot?
👍
That's why there's insurance! Something poor people usually can't afford! Boo hoo get over it. That's like if I moved on top of an active volcano, known to erupt, open a massively successful taco stand, and then when I lose everything in an eruption, come to the bottom of the volcano, and expect everyone to feel bad for me.
@@Gusto724 Cool story bro. Don't worry, nobody will feel sorry for you.
We need more people like you in these comment sections. So many sad people just trashing on these people who lost their homes.
All the lemons on the lemon tree looked intact in front of the burnt down home.... Seems like most all the plants and trees survived.... It's only the homes that got thrashed....👩🏻🚒🔥.... The city of Los Angeles should no longer allowed homes to be built unless they are like the few in the neighborhood that had fireproof roofs and then also fireproof walls.... I'm so impressed how those homes stayed perfectly intact with no issues at all
Dont trust in your wealth a little spark can destroy it...a saying goes in Turkish. Health is more important than wealth folks. Our hearts go with you.
Hopefully they get a house back where they lived no matter if they had insurance or not, after all they paid tax for years, and their government have always billions of dollars ready to send it to foreign countries so now it's time to help your own citizen !
Unfortunately most regular folks probably won't and will be long gone by the time any of it gets figured out.
no one can escape karma!!! god teaching how war zones look like! instead of spending on wars and selling weapons aand make dollars, make some water storage dams and save lives!
This was so awful to watch. I am praying for everyone who is affected by this.💜🙏🏽
Please remember all of the animals in your prayers. They lost their home too. I am an animal rights activist and vegan for the animals. Please help all of the animals too. I understand losing your homes. I live in my car with my cat, Jack. I have a go fund me too. Please read my story. God bless all involved in this tragedy. Melissa Plessinger
Agreed. It's shocking how little the animals are mentioned these news.
I've seen videos of animals being rescued and accepted by various animal shelters, and I have not seen videos of humans being rescued. I am sorry, in times like these, the humans should come first, and then the animals. It's just the order of things. I can't believe someone would actually leave their pet behind.
@@AlexM-t6h you’re forgetting though that humans have the benefit of receiving evacuation orders, animals do not.
Bless the animals
My heart bleeds for these people that have lost everything, im so very sorry for your loss!!!
Sorry to hear about this.
This is so sad. I live in Florida and endure hurricanes every single year, but we do have at least time to evacuate and carry important belongings, but these people were caught off guard😢 .
what do you think about gaza they are burning every days in american bombers and weapons in hospital ,in schools ,in refuge camps ....tax collected from Americans and billions of dollars given for Israel to burne Palestine mother's children .....God is the is the greatest and the only owner of super power .
May god save all who wish good for human bings in the whorled .
It is very sad to watch. For me the most important is to learn and never let it happen again.
Prayers for the animals 🙏🏾
Incredible how a state that is next to water, has a water problem!
Yes I thought the same you would of thought some type of Syphon from the ocean for emergencies I know salt water is not the best but better than nothing
Clueless woke Democrat is the main cause.
They cut the budget and hire lesbian firefighters to meet DEI and LGBT quota
Salt water cant be used in firefighters equipments because it will ruin them. Saltwater would also contaminate the soil so nothing would be able to grow there. But i understand what you mean. It is quite ironic.
@@MrStrange1984
I listened to a 25 year firefighter talk about this today. He said in a situation like this, they should have used salt water… because salt water is better than no water… and pumps on a fire truck are cheaper to replace than 10s of thousands of homes, businesses, vehicles, pets, livestock, wildlife, infrastructure, etc… not to mention people’s lives. If saltwater contaminates the soil, why are the Canadian water bombers scooping up and pouring seawater onto the fires? One was suspiciously taken out by a drone…
Don’t just repeat something for which you have no knowledge. Do some research.
@@HalifaxPeacock I agree that they should have sacrificed their equipment in a sittuation like this, yes. What i wrote is still correct. And about the salt water and soil. You tell me to do some research when a simple google search would have told you that i in fact am correct. Dont try to bs me when it's you who don't know what you are talking about plz.
This makes me so sad
All I know is if a Tesla car is on fire it requires a lot more water to be put out. Anyone who owns a tesla in their neighborhoods is at risk for long fires.
We all suffer losses, the real emotional losses are memories photos, children toys! Still the safes are all that remains good luck to all victims. God bless
Absolutely heartbreaking. Stop looking at the D or R on your ballot! Listen to what our politicians are saying. Be informed by ALL news outlets and especially podcasters. Don't believe everything you hear on msnbc or cnn.
Save yourself!❤
They will vote for clueless woke D no matter what. They never learn
Ok so why not include Fox News, if you’re going to say news networks?
Cos she right 😬
I don't know a good portion of this had something to do with saving some fish that needed Briny water I say definitely pay attention to the d in the r and run from the d the d is the reason there was no water still blinded I see and some don't
And the leadership totally dei hires😢
Great job USA Today. You captured so much with this video. Blessings to the City of Angels and everyone within in 🙏
The stories of loss from the Los Angeles wildfires are truly heartbreaking. It’s a stark reminder of how these disasters impact everyone, regardless of background. Wishing strength and support to all the victims as they navigate this difficult time. Stay safe and take care!
Loss is painful for every human creature!…. Should I say every living creature yes every living creature!
Примите мои самые искренние соболезнования 😢😢😢 Даже слов нет. Я живу в Сибири и всю жизнь мечтала посетить Калифорнию,Малибу, хоть раз увидеть настоящий океан. Мои мечты так и останутся мечтами....
Fireproof Safe Sales 📈📈📈📈
That's the only one that I've seen that has everything somewhat in tach. Others burned right thru. So maybe not!
You can’t make a fireproof house
Greedy Materialistic, is it what you really matter to you now?
@mohamedhasan318 People can value both material and non-material things at the same time. Sentimental items, like keepsakes from loved ones or childhood treasures, often carry deep emotional meaning and can feel heartbreaking to lose-just as losing a home is profoundly tragic. If a fireproof safe can help preserve those irreplaceable memories, it’s a small but meaningful way to protect what matters most. Why not take that step if it offers even a bit of comfort in difficult times?
@@VictoriaHall930 its too late honey . now its time to support the victims not looking to safe and what inside it . where are Elon Musk and Other multimillionaire why they don't offer help ? where are Biden and trump those politicians that you pay tax and support them in every war and crime they did to innocents people ? now they left you broke and homeless and you still thinking about material stuff that never remains forever , when you die you wont take safe with you , and when you face god tell him what you spend your life for .
Rich or poor this is sad. Its happening and we cant be prepared in a disaster or stop it. God Bless all. Sending prayers
I disagree, politicians have all the power to prevent this or minimise if they do their job correctly. Wake tf up. Most people outside LA see this coming on them.
Guy with the bandana is a real one. Lady at the end encapsulates everyone I’ve seen. At the end of the day people care more about the irreplaceable things rather than the cost.
The hardest part about loss is what you have left behind. Wishing all of you that you find peace, calmness in the storm, and joy from the memories you shared with loved ones. If I can offer words of encouragement, remember at some point the past will be in the rearview mirror, the road ahead is wide open, just like the pages of an empty note pad, what you write is your future.
Those hundreds of teslas added to the fuel big time
😮 Thats not joke. They explode and spit fire long time.
Along with all the e-Scooters, eBikes, e-Skateboards, etc. All those Lithium Batteries made the fires worst
I wish i see more videos like this everyday , this is just beautiful and refreshing .
This is heartbreaking 💔 my thoughts and prayers 🙏 are with everyone experiencing loss.
Stay strong and never give up!
This happened in a small small town called Niland those people were dirt poor no one helped them or covered them
What an incredibly touching and well put-together piece. Wishing all of the best to all the souls in this video. The part about the guy wanting his bear is where I lost it and started tearing up
Yes, this was a lovely mini documentary here
I really drew a tear when the lady found the safe. So much joy during so much misery.
I’m so sorry for your loses. My house burned with 600 others in S.Oregon in 2020 with only 40 mph winds. I only had moments to grab a few things. I was fortunate to escape the flames as I was exiting my neighborhood. My heart goes out to all.
His weekend million-dollar home. So many had just a small house, that was living paycheck to paycheck. The maids, groundskeepers, maintenance workers, pet sitters, personal cooks and all the wild animals. I cry for them. People that have ripped off the people to attain their wealth. I do not shed a tear.
But you have no idea how he became rich, you're just a hater.
@@kanasesdoes it matter? You have that much wealth its been gained in unethical means
@@fionaw2103 You have absolutely no idea if that’s true or not!
@@kanases im giving my opinion as you did and as other people do. You’re right I dont know that information but what I do know is the AVERAGE house price is $4 million dollars!!! That’s staggering. Yeah so i do have a problem with that, whilst hard working people struggle to buy a small house or afford their rent and put food on the table. I work in a hospital and see people struggling every day. Elderly, families, young people..:. Society has turned their back on them. They aren’t getting any news coverage. People who have lost their homes through other tragic ways. Im sorry these people lost their homes however there is an immoral wealth inequality here and a lot of people are suffering in this country.
And it’s not going to get any better.
Great reporting this really paints the picture of the devastation, this is soul crushing for these people.
PTSD is going to be painful reality for so many. Will be hard to enjoy a safe fire like campfire.😢
PTSD combined with how toxic the air in that area. Would be a great idea to move on in other place.
"We have our lives. We have each other. And we'll go on, we will survive this."

How did those people afford to live in Malibu? Living in Los Angeles is very expensive, financially you get drained living in LA. Worked in Malibu for two years and knew most of the business owners. Some historical businesses are gone forever.
Unfortunately really. This is going to take several several years to rebuild and come back from
I had a nephew renting a villa in Malibu, 2017.
35k/month was the budget cost, rent+food+school for 4 young kids+housemaid.
Filthy rich
It's okay to cry.... this certainly warrants it. I am so very sorry for everyone's loss. As devastating as this is, thank God they're alive and healthy enough to talk about it. Prayers of strength
Things tangable can be replaced.....lives CANNOT
So sad, but at the same time, natural disasters like this remind us that we came to this world with nothing, and we shall leave this world with nothing. It's all vanity. Memories and love are indeed what matters at the end of the day!! Prayers to the people of California.
I am from Serbia, and even though the US had bombed my country in 1999, I feel very sad and I feel very sorry for these poor people who have lost everything. The most important thing is to be alive, to be mentally strong. Material things can be replaced. Memories will stay with you, even though you've lost photos. Slowly you will rebuild and your Government, both state and federal, will help you, and I am sure many countries in the world will help, if the US asks for help. God bless all those people who have lost loved ones, or have lost their pets or homes. I am deeply saddened by the LA tragedy... If this happened in a country like the United States, which is big, rich, and strong, imagine how much worse it would have been in countries that are smaller and poorer. God bless you all, this is devastating but you will recover.
I'm sorry, moj brate.
I'm struck by the trees still standing in the yards...
Trees were wet/living inside, houses were only dry cardboard, insulation etc.
@h9ooo By that logic, the woods behind the houses where the fire started wouldn't have burned...
@@willswalkingwest7267 I would suspect those trees are much more reliant on mother nature for retaining water.
@@willswalkingwest7267 I dont know I was just improvising :p but also trees in the forest werent watered I guess they were dried out and trees in the neighbourhood were standing in more furtile well watered dirt together with other plants ppl had?
@@willswalkingwest7267 it's the dry vegetation that catches fire in the "woods" behind the houses. those mountains and canyons have been awfully dry/dead in areas. compared to the trees in the neighborhoods that gardeners and homeowners attend to regularly.

Smart City LA 2028 in making….. devastating
The actor James Wood has been crying his eyes out because he lost his home to fire , oh poor boy he lost his toy , no ceasefire for James Wood , he didn't want one in Gaza
I'm 😭 😭 😭 😭 my heart ❤️ with los angeles from Morocco
Lost my home to a forest fire in Colorado. The worse part, for me, was it killed the dream of living in the mountains. However, I felt lucky, as i know many people are impacted way worse than I was. GL out there. Wishing you the best.
I would have left and never come back if that had happened to me.
Very sad and heartbreaking.
My cousin lost everything in a house fire. Thank God he got his daughter and dogs out. Imagine every single thing gone. To not have a diaper, formula, personal hygiene items no clothes. Not everyone can run to a store and replace it. For me the most heartbreaking is things that can't be replaced....
I am sorry for ur loss. Ican feel ur pain but your government didn't feel the pain of gazans
This should be a sign from God. Those homeless people that rich people pass by everyday now these people will experience what those homeless people experience. Material things is not important. People will always rebuild regardless.
