Hello ! --- I bought a set of resistance bands recently. --- I was not sure how to use them, I mean doing the transition between dumbbells and resistance bands. --- Now I'm watching all your videos on RUclips and I'm learning a lot. --- You guys are the best ! --- Thanks !
Thank you gentlemen for showing us resistance band exercises without anchors. My last two apartments had weak doors and no clearance for door or wall anchors!
Here you go Jerri agewellarizona.com/videos ... I'm a functional aging specialist for seniors and have a couple videos on my site that might be helpful to you
My bands came today. Now to learn how to use them. Especially using door anchors. Have shoulder impingenent so hoping some exercises will help plus need to get more strength in that arm since haven't used much in long time. My therapist said on my own now.. Done with weekly appointments.
"Bob, this is a family show" gets me every time 😂 I really need to get these bands. I've gotten to the point where I don't like doing weights at the gym and need something I can do at home without weights.
Thanks Brad I'm so inspired to follow you. I'm going to use my resistance bands just like the yellow and red narrow bands. I did resistance band on my pushups
I have an issue with what may be tarsal tunnel syndrome, right ankle (now much better than 6 months ago) but radiating all the way up to the right shoulder. I want to maintain strength. My question: would it make sense to use bands, but start with lower resistance and smaller movements, working up to larger movements and heavier resistance over time.
Oh my goodness these are the best exercises I have seen. I thought you guys were going to yap too much. I’m VERY IMPRESSED! Thank you so much. I needed this!
Good video! People, don't worry about moving to those heavier bands too quickly. The lighter weight bands will do great for a long time. As a chiropractor told me years ago, lifting one pound 100 times will do you more good than lifting 100 pounds one time. Lighter resistance and many reps are great (but, start small and work upward on those number of reps). After a gazillion reps routine with the lighter weight bands, you may want to move to the heavier resistance. LOL
one of my patients just got fabric bands. www.amazon.com/Supertrip-Resistance-Fabric-Pilates-Exercise/dp/B08L7P9WLB/ref=sr_1_13_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=fabric+exercise+bands&qid=1605718090&s=sporting-goods&sr=1-13-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyTzEwRlM5R1NLSERDJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTY1MTQ5MlM4TkNHSEZHQlVKNiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNTAzOTYwMU5JNTRKWEtBMVJOVCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX210ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= do your research though many of them do contain some amount of latex
When you were doing the exercises, can you please tell us the names of them when you are doing them for example, if you’re doing bicep curls or tricep kickbacks or overhead shoulder press thank you 10:58
I am in mid sixties and a hiker. Hiking uses only certain muscles. I am beginning training to do an Appalachian trail attempt. I hike and backpack on my weekends. Weekdays I walk about 20 thousand steps a day, and three days a week go to gym and use elliptical because I live in a flat areas with no ascents or descents. I need to beef up my workout. There is a lot of rock scrambling on parts of the at. And when you do that final summit in Maine you are actually climbing up a very steep ascent. At times using rebar rungs placed there by the park service to pull yourself up. So. I currently do not have toned muscles. I honestly , esp after six months of walking and using only a small muscle group, could not currently do all the rock scrambling and pulling myself up as previously described. So why I bring this up, perhaps you could do a series or a video for hikers and avid walkers on how to solve this issue. I was thinking the resistance bands would be a good idea but probably without the handles as we must count every gram of weight we carry we will also not have a door, anywhere while on trail to put a hook, etc. so the resistance bands would need to be “freestanding”. We could lay down inside our tents in the evening and sort of replicate some floor exercises in there. Any ideas?
I got my bands and I love them. I don't really have a place to attach wall anchors. I can't seem to close any of my doors with the door anchor. Any tricks to this??
Man I’m in nursing field on front lines my back killing me from these shift this pandemic caused burn out I need to strengthen my back I’m having lower back pain now I’ll try some of this
I looked up "butt wink" because I never heard of it before. It's really important to know how to squat without rolling your spine and inadvertently injuring the discs in your back.
Thank you, Bob and Brad! This is a very helpful video. I have suggestion for a future video: Could you create a Workout In The Mirror series with the Booyah Stick? One for shoulders and neck, one for back, and one for posture? It would be very helpful to follow along for those of us need that. Both my husband and I love doing the Workouts In The Mirror because they are simple to, well, mirror.😁
Here’s the thing. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxS7ex6L4sMqpaTn4LnBPyBmRQsSingL8y These are not meant to be stretched to 12ft or 14ft or whatever else where you’re a 6ft person, stepping in the band and trying to do standing shoulder presses. If they tear, (assuming they’re not defective) then you’re trying to stretch them way too far. For a full body stretch, bands should be like three feet long, doubled over. Don’t buy the bad press. A fully extended reverse fly is avoid as far as you should stretch these. If it’s too easy, use more than one band at a time. Not rocket science.
There are no disadvantages of resistance band, if you don't have time to go to gym then resistance band will be more beneficial for you If you want to do workout with resistance band then you can visit my "workout with resistance band" series Hope you like it.... Me too. I
I used bands for the first time today. They are a game changer.
Love it! A lighthearted approach to a serious subject - improving posture and the body in general.
I am a senior with a bad back and neck and can't lift over 15 lbs. Can you do more videos to help seniors with issues?
Great idea.

Thank you very much, Bob & Brad. But I am not sure about breathing during the exercises. Could you throw some light?
What are the weight on the yellow & red? I could see the purple & green weight written on them
I wear a set of padded gloves with fingers using the bands as they start to chew up your hands after a while.
Omg you guys are great!
