So basically the first half of KALKI 2898 AD is all about character introduction's as well as Story building...
Also we have seen multiple characters in the movie and u said DISHA character was not necessary
But maybe in part 2 she must be playing key role which help the Non-COMPLEX people....
Part 2 shooting has been completed like approximately 60%
Remaining crucial sequences should be shot.... See this a Universe and you cannot expect everything to be shown in the first part itself
The budget itself is under 70 million USD$ which is more than 1/3rd of what Hollywood superhero movies are made
And they cannot show u the Complex itself more as it would cost them a lot to spend on VFX
And the VFX company DNEG did most of the VFX for this movie... This DNEG VFX company did VFX for DUNE movies also.....
And VFX these days are not cheap and the makers did not know whether people will accept these kind of movies or not
That is why they won't show everything as per our liking..... They made real sets and has limited budget and also they need shares after the movie releases and then later part 2 they will be increasing the budget even more or same and show us even more grandeur....
If this movie was made in like 10 years or 5 years ago then people would have made this movie flop...
The makers want surety whether INDIAN audience are ready to consume such content right now and this first part was a sample only (And the producers itself and director said these words that this first part is sample)
