Ukrainian authorities claimed to have foiled a Russian assassination plot on President Volodymyr Zelensky. Two colonels in the State Guard of Ukraine were arrested for their alleged involvement in the plan. Russia had allegedly coordinated with the two to kill Ukrainian officials, including Zelensky.

The lands sequestered since 1947 resulted from numerous abortive wars of Arab states against Israel, which have forced Israel to obtain defensible borders. Egypt doesn't want Gaza back; Jordan has given up the West Bank and left it with Israel; Syria lost the Golan Heights because they were continually launching artillery and missiles from there.
The continuous attacks on Israel have created a military enclave and the military are invariably right-wing. The Arabs created an enemy they could not defeat and Hamas has failed to learn the lesson of 70+ years of conflict.
