Hi, I have seen your post on amazon about SIRUI 50mm T2.9 lens, you said that you prefer Venus over Saturn lens and that the look is more like film. I would like to buy one of those lenses and I have talked with the Sirui team and they have told me that the lenses are identical, just in different body. In your post you said you prefer Venus look over Saturn. Could you please advice me on what to buy for video/film purpuse. Thanks
So I got to film with the Saturn 50mm and the Venus 50mm on my FX3. While the Venus is a whole lot bigger and the Dials are a tad bit stiffer, the Saturn is the ultimate mini anamorphic version of the Venus BUT , while pixel peeping and editing I noticed that the Venus footage in comparison to the Saturn appears more characteristic and has a few flaws in it's image edges. The Saturn is perfect if you want perfect image quality and a totally soap opera sharp imagery. The Venus out the box had a better softer edging and sharp center. The Saturn sharpens just more and in my opinion looks a bit less film like. Not by much, but enough that I am happier with the Venus. Besides that the size makes for a better looking cine rig anyways :) Hope this helps. Aloha
@@808-Stat3 Thank you for your feeback. Do you find blue flayers disrupting in any way. Im leaning more toward Venus but prefer neutral flayers from Saturn. Also one thing I didnt know is that you cannot use an 1,25 adapter with Saturn lenses only with Venus lenses which is another big benefit.
@filipbracevac6580 you see, I was afraid of the very same thing BUT as long as your composition doesn't have a hard light source the blue flares are mild compared to some reviews I watched and YES the 1.25 adapter to gain the 2.0 squeeze is definitely a plus
She is so beautiful and so graceful as she explores our beautiful, landscapes, and plants of Hawaii
