We can learn from the use of UAV in first response use by law enforcement... Sure it is a fantastic way to get intel on the situation and provide that to those first kn scene... But, from civilian side, you hear simillar response which is possitive from most but those that live in areas that these machines have to travel through similar concerns are raised of mass surveillance and though they are law obiding citizens how thier presence...the sound of the drone...makes for an uncomfortable "they are always watching". A intresting comment by a home owner was made , " we bought this little house to have a peice of something that is ours...but, with the constant reminder from the drone buzzing overhead- we ask, do we own it? Or are we being owned by the local law enforcement?".
Sure, it is easy to make statements sich as, "if you aren't doing anything bad, why worry". But, once you have aspects of 'surveillance' incroach on to your life, private life... It is a un natural, un nerving experience- many agree. Just an un easy feeling.
I can see a civil unrest occur where our politicians, law enforcement continue down this route of further incorporating such technologies as surveillance cameras, drones, software like this... and the public, accepting at first, but then realizing the extent of their private lives of which are not so private any longer. Getting uncomfortable about it. Having a situation of civil unrest due to push back further down the road...where once was a technology to give intel to those first on scene, to be able to de escalate situations more efficiently with less lethal force to invasion of privacy/ over reach/ over use/ miss use/ abuse of these technologies... and i haven't even gotten into how said topics...if we think profilling and being targetted due to certain aspects(demographic, area lived, race..mental health, disability...etc...)... this will be a troubling time for those already struggling with thoae terms... it'll only get worse. Who knows maybe a time will come where you thought that a "companion" drone hovereing over your shoulder 24/7 was a fantastic idea..assisting you with tasks and information to a constant reminder that you have no freedom and every action you take is being analyzed by who even knows who... Maybe laughing behind the screen as fumbled with your groceries or was nervouse to talk to that date...or called thier buddies over when that date got more intimate to gawk at your more private life....imagine your mother and father always there..nagging at you or judging you... it's worse enough having to do so until you'd moved out. Sure, it's nice to have that unconditional love at times.... But, many of times the scales are unbalanced and those "lovey dovey", "good job son" moments are far and few.....

I recognized a lot of locations and even spotted the fugitive from Stewart County!
