Watched the original stream, even with no sound. "Although the buffer, made me suffer". I think that Mark's comment about not listening to lyrics, resonates with me. Surely there can be as much emotion in a well played instrument, that regardless of key or chord makes the listener feel that emotion. 😢
Not listening to the lyrics.. same for me, which I've concluded is because (to me), the voice is just part of the whole sound (song), with it just being a musical element like all the other 'not lyrics' sounds. It's the overall wall of noise I'm digesting, with the feeling, rhythm & groove being the most dominant things. Learning the lyrics at later stages (sometimes decades) is always a surprise 😂 Bowie sometimes had words on individual bits of paper, which he would randomly put together to create sentences/lyrics. Phil Collins would hum along as songs were recorded, later writing words that fit with the humming. Both idea's are genius.
If you write a song about a colliery collapse... should it be in A Flat Miner..? If you write a song about a fear of being stung by a flying-buzzing insect... should you avoid Bee Sharp..? Can’t say I’ve ever had a song ‘literally’ fall out of me.
This was great!
Cheers!
Woohoooo,, subtitles,, 💖🥰💖🥰💖🥰💖
