Chita was/is perfect for this role
nice to see my front cover on here! (for the play version of the original book by Puig which was performed at the National Theatre) That was a surprise! (If I knew it was going to be used in the Broadway version, I ought to have asked for some complimentary tickets!) Still, I saw the show many times in London: a sensational show and it remains one of the great musicals, and certainly one of the best Kander and Ebb scores. Am thrilled to be linked to Kiss of the Spiderwoman in this way! Tim Wilson
I believe every straight woman should have a gbf, but this woman is a little off her rocker!
I think this program should have been hosted by Randall, Klugman, and Morse and not the toothy blonde.
It would have been better to cast someone like Liza Minnelli or Vanessa Williams to open this show. It would have become a bigger hit. I hope they revive this gem soon. Vanessa Williams reprising the role or Catherine Zeta Jones (I actually told her personally that her voice would be perfect for this show and she told me she wasn't familiar with the score when I met her)
